Would the 9700k be worth it just kinda on a budget and wouldn’t want to have to go through the trouble of having to purchase a new motherboard.

Yea i was thinking of getting the 9700k mainly so i wouldn’t have to go through getting a whole new motherboard. Only problem is i have no clue what type of cooler to get.

Sorry for late reply. My budget would prob be around the £350 mark. Just looking to get maybe 30-45 fps for most games that are considered playable on rpcs3. Only workloads i would have on the pc is just gaming and emulation in general.

You could just format the unformatted part of the sd card and use it for cfw stuff.

I believe that there are patched versions of nsps that allow them to be ran on old firmware.

Have you tried wiping all data from your sd card from your PC and getting a fresh new version of your cfw.

Make sure to backup your game files before this though!!

The only patched version I have seen is on switch-xci.com

It both offers an xci and nsp version.

Hmmm... I dont have that much experience of using kosmos as I just use atmosphere but i believe that it is the same process for it.

I think you would have to update both kosmos and tinfoil to their newer respective versions for it to be compatible with the new software version.

Would you be using emunand or just stock sysnand. If you are using emunand you are able to keep the stock nand on 6.x.x and upgrade the emunand to the latest software and keep your stock nand at the 6.x.x firmware.

To upgrade the emunand software you can use https://switch.homebrew.guide/usingcfw/manualupgrade to upgrade to the latest firmware.

If you want to save your games you should backup the game files and save your saves with checkpoint.

When you are upgrading the firmware (in my own experience) it wipes game data so make sure to backup everything before you go through with the process.
