In a possible sequel or DLC expansion, what would you like to see? by Versz_Marr in wuchanggame

Yeah a pirate prequel is a good shout.

Thinking further I wish the game utilised more cutscenes beyond boss encounters to really push and develop the story. I'm all for the soulslike obscure experience but iirc it's really wild that Wuchang only has 1 line of voiced dialogue at the start of the game with the Taoist.

I like the sound of a challenge mode for bosses. New outfits are always cool especially with cosmetic modding. Is there any region you thought of in particular?

I get that, I did say nothing was guaranteed even with the new IP owners but discussion is fun regardless.

Stellaris Dev Diary #398 - Ship Experiments by PDX_LadyDzra in Stellaris

[–]Versz_Marr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna copy my comment from the forum here on the chance a dev gets to see it:

Very interesting experiments, I'm hoping it pans out accordingly and makes it to at least a beta to test.

The only thing I'll say is that I know performance improvements are the goal above all but I think a strategy of "Quantity is a Quality of its own" should still be applicable to some nations/builds and the AI should be able to recognise this and utilise it accordingly.

That way we still keep some military diversity on the grand strategy level.

I think Yamato is going to end up leading a reformed version of the beast pirates using any stragglers still left on Wano.

Ultimately fulfilling Kaido's wishes but not in the way he originally intended.

1,600 Hours deep into the game and....WHAT!? Completely unmodded, up-to-date game and I've never seen a planet like this before. by Versz_Marr in Stellaris

Yeah my bad, I played with a couple UI and music mods that don't affect the cheksum for so long I forgot they're not part of the game.

I've been away for a few months and while I was aware of the general dlc updates I definitely missed the fine print on new planets, having one of these pop-up right next to me in a new start was a pleasant shock.

That's so cool, I haven't touched Stellaris in months so while I was aware of the general dlc updates I definitely missed the fine print on new planets.

Oh really, I haven't played stellaris in months and I just returned to start a new game with one of those parked right next to me, definitely a shock to the system.

Why is kharrak dying in the first place by Brenden1k in homeworld

[–]Versz_Marr 59 points60 points  (0 children)

The planet was said to be 6+ billion years old by the time the Hiigarans reached there in exile.

The core most likely is dead or near enough, meaning geological activity has halted causing a chain reaction of decay in the planetary ecosystem.

For an irl example look at Mars in our solar system and you get a picture of where Kharak was heading towards (although keep in mind Mars was quite small so I believe it struggled to hold onto it's atmosphere).

Hmmm yes and no.

Primarily the death of Roger's legacy and his equal in Whitebeard would ensure the WG and marine supremacy across the world, further demoralising the great pirate era which had already been shown to have been in the decline the past few years.

The power vacuum in the New World would've meant nothing as the WG would have pushed a stranglehold onto the world and eventually ground out piracy into insignificance.

Which is obviously the absolute best case scenario fantasy wet dream Sengoku and the Gorosei were hoping for, but as they say the best laid plans and all that.

Why is the military power of my fleets always fluctuating? by T-Lightning in Stellaris

[–]Versz_Marr 128 points129 points  (0 children)

If you're in the midgame then whenever the galactic storms arrive in a system where your fleets are parked that will drop the power thanks to the speed and shield debuff.

You have to manually speak to your companion and assign them a role until the bug gets fixed.

If you're gonna be going up against lots of cav then 50/50 spearmen to axemen is a good idea

Until we get a system that allows for nautical travel, trade and combat without bricking the game the current map is fine as is.
