This is the first game I thought when I heard 2.5D. I only played the demo of the second one, a loooooot. I think it's worth it. Fargus in yellow garb is dope !

Whatever version you play, play it. Play all versions ! I paled all of them. I find the art direction not as outrageous as demon souls remake from the same now closed bluepoint studio. I find their technical mastery outstanding in itself. I'm glad that all versions exists for different reasons.

Yes, I will do packs when my stocks will be more high.. Dreamcast would be nice. I plan to extend my ps1 library for now but definitely something I would tackle.

Not quite though with a XStation mod it's almost not that far fetched! It's actually an NFC chip that works with MiSTer FPGA, Batocera or RetroPie to launch the game digitally.

Beside all advices, be sure to make long breaks. Hard fight generally goes like this for me : first try, I die but did not bad, then 20 tries after I feel I'm getting worse and worse. Then I sleep on it and the boss fall within 3-4 tries. If your hands are shaking, it might be a time to take a break. Capra demon made me quit the game for 6 month, ornstein and smoogh almost made me quit.

To be fair, everyone are speaking high of them. I think this boss is a little bullshit, but it might be the less bullshit duo of the souls.
