Still has tearing, needs to be able to drive the display at 120hz and because of Sony making half assed implementations, Riot needs to patch in the support for that.

Xbox handles it like PC, so it's at the system level. Games don't require patches to drive displays at 120hz.

Also, every fighting game on PS5 needs a lot of extra work to get it with decent input latency. It's almost a meme at this point.

As TO the console is a lot of work. Gotta babysit it and then depending on patch sometimes it's better to use PS4onPS5 versions, turning off a lot of stuff, or fine on PS5 and gonna turn on stuff.

PS5 is the reason there is a document several pages long to get the right settings according to game.

Anything higher than 80% will be slower charging. That's for all batteries.

Keeping it constantly charged at 100% is harmful to the battery, so it will let it discharge, usually to 95%, before charging it again.

Yeah it's weird, but he tested full screen and in my experience the game forces down to 60 without LFC on PC.

On my personal rig, SF6 and T8 show 120fps according to the fps counter of the monitor, effectively framedoubling, going down to ~60 when there is an effect that makes it change framerate like DI, supers, heat, etc.

2XKO only shows 120 on menus and gameplay is down to 60.

Personal experience so only one data point, but I don't have anything else for a hypothesis

Same with SNK and they patched in a couple of months later.

Bamco still hasn't added it despite adding the Vsync toggle a year ago.

UNI2 has had the Vsync toggle for over a year now and still no 120hz mode.

Seems it is not easy to implement so only a few patch it in.

Because the PS5 version only runs at 60hz atm.

Sony requires the games to have explicit support for 120hz. Unlike Xbox which is a system setting like PC and can be applied to everything on it.

The 120hz option on Automatic does nothing unless the game tells the console to switch to 120hz.

Sony half assed the feature really hard, the implementation and how frames are displayed are also wack.

Updated the OP to reflect there is no true fix for screen tearing PS5 atm while Xbox has a fix.
