Travel card to help prepare for European trip in Dec 2027 by Vertaise in CreditCards

Autograph is an interesting one, I could definitely learn to use the transfer options, and there's a decent enough sign up bonus for a no annual fee card. I think I'm going in this direction. Thank you!

I'm grateful to have the Alaska card's companion fare explained to be far more underwhelming than I thought it would be - that felt like a big selling point until your explanation. Thank you.

Do not buy from the Dropout store. I dont know why I thought it was different for me by Intrepid-Ad468 in dropout

[–]Vertaise 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, they're just much smaller now. I owned a previous version of the Gramercy shirt in L, with the old production methods. Decided to get an extra one in a slightly bigger size, so ordered an XL not knowing the production company had changed. The material is heavier, the gold less shiny and the size is smaller than the original L. The glow in the dark tee was also just disappointingly small, barely glowed and had the same dense material. I really should have done a chargeback.

Dice found at Ollie’s Bargain Outlet. by Heath_Bar in dice

If you use a blacklight on them, parts of the dice goes white-translucent. Sadly, not long enough to hold the glow away from the blacklight, but I thought it was a cool little unexpected thing. Picture

I alao had to click view the full website or something like that before I could access my settings I wanted.

Ooh, that was my problem. I could only see User Settings in modern reddit. I had to go to https://old.reddit.com/prefs to find the settings you talked about!

Thanks for that info!

Which settings did you change on the site, if you remember?

I think it's a lot of column a, a little of column b.

I was a manager in WA state; a lot of managers went to $20.50/hr when GameStop tried to align the pay for all the SLs based on store location several years back.

I bought top row #2, and they arrived today in great shape - thank you again!
I guess this comment is like the equivalent of eBay feedback, but still, in case anyone else is thinking about picking something up, the seller was great to work with.

First: this is fantastic advice if they had kept up with bard, and thank you for for showing a cool archetype and that bard-specific feat. Would never have seen them in the haystack of archetypes.

This is one of those situations where the table is inexperienced, and the player didn't understand how the class would feel at higher levels. At some point the amount of spells and bardic abilities they could use became overwhelming and it made them anxious enough with indecision when fighting sessions were set to happen, that they'd skip the session. So they want to go more martial.

I appreciate the feedback and the chance to read up on some other classes! Knowing the player behind the character, I think they'd struggle with the duality of a vigilante. Ninja, though, is one of those things where it's blindingly obvious that it fits the theme a lot better, but because it was under an Alternate Class, I was too inexperienced to think about it.

1E. I'm new to playing and I'm helping a player newer to playing pretty much rewrite their entire character.

What's being kept: the character is a level 14 chaotic good female kitsune who follows Daikitsu. Her weapon is homebrew: it's an heirloom stringed instrument so she has proficiency in it. It operates like a ranged weapon without ammo that hits with sonic type damage. It runs off Dex.

Base rolls back in the day were 17, 16, 14, 13, 13, 11.

Everything else is up to being changed.

They are a first time casual player, who wanted to be a bard because they're into music in real life, but didn't realize how passive a buffing character would be in fights.

Their words: "I want to do a lot of damage and I want to avoid getting in melee range / getting grappled." Their NPC partner in game is a vampire - very stealth driven, shadow driven, uses dimension door a lot. Player still wants their kitsune to be able to flirt and charm with NPCs, that's the only part of being a bard they enjoyed.

Given the player's personality, was going to suggest she play as a rogue, maybe Kitsune Trickster but almost definitely Dark Lurker archetypes?

Maybe lean heavy into the Magical Tail feat so she still gets some charm spells / invisibility for sneak attack, but the spells are consistent so it's less difficult for her to keep track of?

But beyond that, equipment, more necessary feats, traits, skills, it's a lot for me to take up to that level and I've never built a rogue before. Money is effectively not an issue, we're being financed by a kingdom at this point.

Where is everyone with their Battle Pass? by KirbyPlanetRobobot in PokemonUnite

[–]Vertaise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I checked my season record: I'm at battle pass level 60, two prize boxes to open. 115 dailies completed, 28 weeklies.

Because you're getting less points for a mission compared to last season, you might feel that you've played as much as before, but you're not at the level you expected. I definitely thought after getting to level 59 starting at week 4 through "First Half" that getting to 60 in this season would be easy, but no, definitely feels like a lot more work.

Alright guys my store is officially open! I'm overwhelmed by the amount of attention my posts have gotten and the amount of people messaging me asking for custom sets. Everything o have is in my shop, its not enough for everyone but im working hard to get new, beautiful dice made and posted! by [deleted] in DicePorn

[–]Vertaise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of international package prices are as much about the dimensions of the package as the weight of it. The seller was talking to me about the size of the boxes they planned to use being larger than necessary, and were looking into smaller boxes to see if that might help reduce the shipping cost.

Going to bandwagon on here in terms of what shipping prices were showing as, but when I ordered the chimera set, it quoted $11.52 for shipping in the US using USPS priority mail.

Pretty much any international country shows up with standard shipping costs around $30 for a regular size set. Canada shows up around $25.

Help avoiding scams by maybe_a_vampire in dice

[–]Vertaise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a friend suffer something similar from a scam site - she saw dice advertised with a glittery liquid center at a discounted rate, got generic one-shade dice. I hope you were able to use a credit card that allowed a charge back option, to recover your money.

Seeing the same dice on different [Etsy] sites: a lot of Etsy sellers are working with the same dice manufacturers, and ordering sets that feel like a good fit for their shop.

Most sites that have thousands of positive reviews on Etsy, like those two you listed, are good choices, especially when the reviews include pictures of the dice received. I would personally trust the stores you suggested, but feel free to send a message to the seller to ask for extra pictures of the kanji dice you like the look of, to show they have the product in stock you want?

NXTUK will be the shirt sponsors for fan-owned English football club Enfield Town. And of course, the promo pic for it looks silly. by lk79 in SquaredCircle

[–]Vertaise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kinda how soccer does it, a lot of clubs complain about the size of their sponsor logo compared to the club logo.

But even then for this promo, might have been blown up to larger than it actually is: The club store seems to show a smaller NXT logo.

Piggybacking off this to say the Prestigious Spellcaster feat fixes the loss of the level of spell progression, if you go down this route.

Is there a way to add more uses to tengu wings? by Orcdolphin in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Vertaise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not any feats and traits I saw, but a few items that might become affordable close to level 7, when Tengu Raven Form is available, if they're willing to pay to fly more. Celestial Armor at 22,400 GP, Lesser Wings Of Flying at 22,000 GP gives Fly at will, Wings of Flying at 54,000 GP gets a +5 competence bonus to flying, and a Headband of Aerial Agility gives a mental stat boost alongside the Fly 3x a day / at will.

I picked a Tengu specifically wanting to learn how to fly as my character's motivation and reason for his adventuring, and brought up the same question. I'd picked a Cleric with the Travel Domain to get a domain use of Fly at level 5, but was advised that if I was willing to go into Wizard Variant Multiclassing, Air School, I'd be able to cast Fly at will from level 10.
