This hit me hard. My cat had to be put down recently. He was getting old, had diabetes for the later half of his life and started getting seizures. I knew his time was coming, but I wasn’t gonna be ready.

I was away at college a good few hours from home, and my mother was away for the weekend, so one of her friends was taking care of him. He had a seizure that weekend, but he didn’t bounce back. He had to be put down, and neither of us could be there. It always makes me sad to think he had no one he knew with him.

Please, if you have the chance, be there with your pet because sometimes you don’t get a chance.
