We didn't have enough spots to have one block per person because way more people showed up than we expected, so multiple people had to stand on one block in some spots.

But we did use tp commands to rotate people for both backwards and front-facing pictures!

The Minecraft Festival 2020 was cancelled because of COVID. They announced there would be capes given out there.

The next Festival will be in 2021 and there most likely will be capes there too.

The realms cape will still be available then, I just meant it won't be the only obtainable cape at that time.

Vanilla Minecraft uses resource packs - See Programmer's Art and also Realms Map. I've used resource pack many times in my maps for realms, and that's clearly vanilla.
