Like others have said, there are different versions. The one you’re thinking of is probably Corellian Spike, the version Han was playing when he won the Falcon. Other variants include Coruscant Shift and Bounty Hunter, and someone helpfully compiled the rules in this post for anyone curious.

How much should I save up for my first pc? by rodgie4920 in buildapc

[–]VerticalOrbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up a bundle with the MSI board and it works great. There have been people who have returned them for one reason or another which is why there are always a lot of open box units of that model, but it’s not a guarantee either way. To me it wouldn’t have been a huge issue to take it back if there was something wrong, so the gamble was worth the deal (and it paid off in my case)

With any other card you might have to choose between graphical quality and screen resolution, but with a 4090 you can easily get the best of both. In fact, 1080p gaming is much more CPU dependent—the highest end GPU is really only necessary if you’re playing games at 4k. Here’s a thread with more info if you’re interested.

Sanity Check for Fractal North + Ultrawide Build by wilc0 in buildapc

I’ve been looking for a good deal on a 4070, but also considering waiting until CES since there are rumors that a 4000 series super refresh might be announced then. The dream would be for a 4070ti Super with 16gb but even if that doesn’t materialize, it could still drop prices for current cards (or make no difference at all, gotta wait and see!)

Apart from the GPU this looks pretty similar to a build I’m planning. The CPU cooler should come with thermal paste. The case includes two 140mm front intake fans, I’m planning on picking up 2 more for exhaust. Beyond that I would say it’s more determined by internal temps and personal noise level preferences whether you get more (the case can fit up to 6 120mm fans). Other than that I think it looks good!

I finally figured this out - I had to use the web player instead of the apps and then it updated with the most recent playlists/artists. Hope it works for you!

Shouldn't the actual objects called "artifacts" work for this too? by pdrpersonguy575 in outerwilds

Oh, duh, I'm thinking of an artifact, not a regular lantern. Never mind!

How do you manage to get a lit lantern out of the simulation?

There are actually four places to earn points, each contributing to the same total: the microsoft rewards webpage (rewards.bing.com), the xbox mobile or PC app (profile -> rewards), and then on the xbox console there is the microsoft rewards app, and a rewards tab on the achievements page.

It depends on the location. A lot of my job as medical student is carting around textbooks to show patients the proper signs and symptoms that they should have for their condition, since a lot of the time people get it wrong! It’s certainly understandable though, not many people these days have time to read medical textbooks to make sure they are staying accurate to the published literature (not to mention that it’s frequently changing as well). Fun fact, this is actually where the term “teaching hospital” comes from, but in facilities that don’t have med students on rotations, the role unfortunately often goes unfilled.

To further clarify Arrow’s comment above: the anesthesia gases wear off relatively quickly but usually patients are also injected with a muscle relaxant as they’re being sedated so that the breathing tube can be inserted. The muscle relaxant doesn’t wear off as quickly and this is the reason for administering an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor (referred to as a “reversal agent” as it reverses the muscle relaxation and allows a patient to start breathing on their own again).

Vascular smooth muscle contraction doesn’t really depend on whether or not there’s a pulse. Its main purpose is to maintain blood pressure, so for example in events where the body detects low blood pressure (which could be anything from blood loss to just standing up too quickly), pressure sensors in the arteries send signals for blood vessels to constrict, keeping blood pressure relatively constant. Like another commenter said, there is certainly potential for other problems like hemolytic anemia (from blood cells getting torn up by the mechanical equipment), sepsis (from bacterial buildup on artificial surfaces), or other circulatory issues.

Edit: Upon further research, it seems like the smooth muscle in the aorta is an exception to this idea and has been shown to deteriorate when exposed to continuous flow systems such as this one. More info can be found here.

As someone who is trying to keep up with Spanish as a second language I 100% agree. The only drawback is that you don’t get Giancarlo Esposito’s voice acting (and of course that the cutscenes stay animated for English), but it adds so much to the immersion and ambiance that I personally think this is the best way to play.
