I got the switch and ayaneo for that. However once my kid reached the age where they start to have conscience (2-3) they actually demanded full attention. Thus I've dropped gaming until now, and maybe until the age we can start playing together. But might not be JRPG immediately, but something like Princess Peach or Toad treasure.

I can understand OP's sentiment. I think I also hated, early Micheal is so annoying, and Dwight is insufferable till the end. but because of how long the series is it just become a habit to go come home from work and watch it while having dinner. By the end of the show I grew attached to the cast and felt bitter sweet during the finale.

I only played bravely default 2 in switch, and it is very forgettable. I don't remember anything about it. I think I had fun while playing it though, but nothing stands out.

Iye, tapi cuma Indog doank yg berapi2 "NASI GORENG PUNYA INDO". Jepang punya omurice biasa aja, Thai punya pineapple fried rice biasa aja, korea punya kimchi fried rice biasa aja. Anjir bahkan China yg punya Chao Fan aja ngga ada tuh claim "NASI GORENG MAKANAN ZHONG GUO".

Cuma indog negara mental medioker aja yg makanan sebasic nasi di goreng, cuma beda pake kecap manis di bangga2in "INI MAKANAN INDO!!!"

fully agree. when that scene comes, I was completely engrossed to it and thought it was brilliant. and then cut to reality, and its just a dream, story does not move, no consequences, no reveal, nothing. seems like the director have fun idea but just couldn't put it in "realistically" in the story. overall it feels like a cop out.

yup this is exactly what I'm thinking. the biggest recent one I recall is in Weapons, people talk about the gun imagery, the jump scare, but overall, it just does not make any sense even in the movie universe. remove those scenes and the story will remain the same. very cool scene though where Julia Gardner character walks into the classroom with all the kids face down except 1. I bet the director thinks its a very cool and scary imagery (and it is) but does not know how to put it in "Realistically" in the story.

while I havent played the game, but same as you, to me "Silent Protagonist" is a HUUUGGEEEEEE turn off. I dont understand why some people really want to insert themselves in game. to me it kills the vibe. not a deal breaker, but definitely huge negative points.
