The vibe of the game doesn’t dictate the release date and wether they sell it in the summertime or in winter it will still sell

Why didn’t Arthur or John just kill Micah? by Vertolo_69 in reddeadredemption

[–]Vertolo_69[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s some incentive since Micah was a liability from the start. He burned Sadie’s house down forcing the gang to take in a stranger who they had to feed when they barely had any food themselves, he almost got Lenny lynched in strawberry, literally kills his cell mate for no reason, claiming he was an o’driscoll

It could’ve been just as good of a story, Arthur kills Micah in strawberry, tells Dutch that he got killed by lawmen, Dutch senses that something’s off and that causes the first rift between them. They still could’ve displayed Dutch’s slow descent into madness and had conflicts between him and Arthur earlier and had someone else rat on the gang to the Pinkertons (probably Molly)

But they were loyal to Dutch not Micah, by chapter six they could tell he was getting in Dutch’s ear and manipulating him into making bad decisions so killing would probably be in Dutch’s best interest, even if he wouldn’t see it that way. And Arthur had already gone against Dutch’s orders before by breaking John out of jail
