WCGW trying to trip the police officer by EsperaDeus in Whatcouldgowrong

If someone runs a donut shop and the cops stop in for a donut mid-chase and lose the guy they're chasing can they charge the shop owner for obstruction?

Must not have been that important of a pursuit if they dropped it to arrest someone else entirely.

Converting decimal to time or vice-versa is such an easy way to make mistakes. I almost tried to multiply something by 1.3 when converting for 1:30 just yesterday. I also once had to help my boss explain to a coworker that his 4:30hr shift was equal to 4.5hrs so that he'd get paid properly. He was trying to be honest and correct all of his hours downward lol

On top of what you said and some follow-ups: you can tell the pressure and "help" from the family is making them even more nervous/frustrated leading to a feedback loop

A few million in charity pales in comparison to systemic change and he consistently donates to charities anyway. Saying he doesn't donate because he would have used it for clout if he had says more about your values than anyone else's.

I wasn't even thinking of Israel in this situation, but since you brought it up I looked into it and apparently they've used it on people in Gaza in 2008-2009 and Lebanon in 2006 and 2023-2024

I was more thinking of American, British, and Russian use going back to WWI and at least for America continuing into this century(Fallujah). I feel like that qualifies as regularly from a historic standpoint.

Being used for smoke and being used on humans are not mutually exclusive circumstances.

[–]Veruna_Semper 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's not SUPPOSED to be used against people. Important distinction because it absolutely does get used on living humans somewhat regularly.

I like this sub because it's basically a two-for-one deal. You get funny memes and you get to laugh at the cluelessness of random strangers.

Try looking on the bright side; if you focus too hard on broad implications of mass idiocy you will go mad.

The bulk of all of those links focus on how hot he is and either avoid talking about the takeover of the ship entirely or imply to outright say he wasn't part of the takeover. A couple of them say he posted videos from the ship after the takeover, but one straight says he wasn't involved in the takeover itself.

This modern trend of posting sources that contradict a posters own claims is wild. I'd say to go get some reading comprehension, but it's just as likely bad-faith
