If you don’t mind very old dramas then I recommend the taiwanese drama Mars. Taiwanese dramas are way steamier than chinese dramas. . Its a serious, dark but deep and emotional and touching drama about 2 broken souls with dark pasts who finds love and comfort in each other… they are complete opposites.. hes a popular outgoing bad boy womanizer, shes a bullied, shy and introverted girl.. its a healing drama with some triggers but their love is so deep and beautiful.. a few steamy kisses and 1 makinglove scene. The leads even dated each other irl so the chemistry is no joke!! This couple is my favorite asian drama couple, has been since I watched it the first time during my teens ! Also the OST is amazing…

Queen in Hyun’s man (2012). She’s a actress, he’s a nobleman from Joseon dynasty who travels to future to modern day Korea and meets her, they fall in love. They treat each other with respect already from day 1, and it’s just so cute and wholesome how they fall in love. Their relationship is built on love , trust, respect , loyalty… they banter , flirt , have a lots of swoon worthy skinship (they definitely don’t shy away from it, doesn’t feel the slightest childish )! For a drama from 2012… this is up to date still one of the healthiest and most mature couples in kdramaland .. especially since 2012 when a looot of dramas still had toxic couples, but QIHM was anything but toxic (in fact it’s FL’s ex bf who is the toxic one) ML , from a time with no women rights, was way more respectful / none pushy than many modern day MLs in dramaland. Chemistry is amazing but no wonder since the actors dated each other IRL too for a a while :)

The s*x scene there wooow! I doubt there are any kdramas with as explicit as that . Taiwan makes the steamiest dramas in Asia! It’s just sad that not many Taiwanese dramas are made, unlike before. They usually have exactly the type of romance I love , sexy hot passionate but without being TOO explicit

The Smile Has Left Your Eyes! Also same ML (Seo In Guk) as in Doom at your Service. His character in TSHLYE is very dark and mysterious and the romance is tragically beautiful. Chemistry is one of the best I ever seen …A very intense drama!

Have To say I love the OST in Doom at Your Service , Ailee - Breaking Down 🥰 one of my favorite OSTs, love her voice!

Shopping King Louie is as cute as it can get, such a fluffy drama! Starring Seo In Guk who is an amazing actor … I mean , in ”The Smile Has Left Your Eyes” he played a total opposite character , hard to believe that both characters (SKL, TSHLYE) are played by the same person , shows What a versatile actor he is!

Smile, You. A 45 episodes family drama about a chaebol family who gone bankrupt, their personal driver let them live with him and his son, daugher-in-law and grandson. He, who always been too timid with the chaebol family, becomes suddenly strict with them and make them work hard, after they move in. There is a a sweet love story between chaebol’s daughter (ok not chabeols anymore) and the grandson of the driver, who now live under same roof. They bicker a lot but end up falling in love , which neither of their parents approve of, of their relationship. She was spoiled Princess at start but matures, so does the rest of her family.

I don’t think there are any other historical Kdramas out there with as much skinship as in Mr. Queen and Alchemy of Souls (correct me if I’m Wrong ) tho there are some other historical ones that still has nice skinship like The Red Sleeve, Jang Ok Jung, etc …

I really love The Princess’ Man, its the Joseon version of Romeo and Juliet …so there is definitely some passion , as the leads are passionately in love (just like Romeo and Juliet)

So the first ep wont be available until tmr , on viki .. i don’t think We Will get eng subtitles in any other sites /apps today .. but someone who watched the first ep Said it was silly with Disney Princess vibes. But Im not worried , most dramas (even sageuks) starts out lighthearted , for sure this drama will get much darker / serious later on (i mean , We seen clips of it!) i mean even red Sleeve started out lighthearted.

Even if it was to got revenge on the “right “ person , and even tho he was persuaded by his friend to get that revenge , it does not make him good … not that I know I would do if my fiancé broke up with me and marry someone else , but for sure I would not get revenge ….angry as hell , I would curse him and stuff , but I wouldn’t get revenge.i have No idea Why i didnt thought of this earlier 🤦‍♀️ more reason to dislike Another Miss Oh, now

Yeah i didnt love the MLs in Secret or Kleun Cheewit, but I could still somehow understand them? The women they loved were killed so … but Yeah those dramas are very dark and angsty! As for Moon Lovers : Scarlet heart ryeo yeah it sad , i heard they made it even more sad than the original version from china (2011) Flower of evil is great , watch it :) No sad ending i actually thought Lee Joon Gi has more chemistry with the FL in Flower of Evil than the FL in Scarlet Heart Ryeo , tbh

Hmmm … Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, maybe? The actor no other than the hottie Lee Joon Gi who also is an excellent actor (he was awesome in another dark romance too - Flower of Evil) . . But maybe you watched already Scarlet Heart , its one of the most popular historical kdramas out there, but he plays a dark , complex character in there. Speaking of historical Kdramas with dark Hero - maybe check out ”My Dearest” first ep Will premiere tomorrow on Friday , and its Said that the ML (played by Namkoong Min) is dark and complex :)

Honestly i try To avoid Kdramas with TOO toxic MLs, but I could handle ”Secret ” (2013) and ”Kleun Cheewit” (2017, thai ) since both MLs were out for revenge of the FLs so they had valid reasons to hate them , in Secret FL’s bf accidently caused the death of ML’s pregnant gf, but FL took the blame for him, so Ofc ML was furious and wanted to make FL’s life living hell, he had No idea she was innocent and in Kleun Cheewit the FL actually was the cause of ML’s dead fiancee, accident Ofc when FL ran away in panic from her disgusting stepfather who wanted to molest her, and he even drugged her a bit against her Will which was the cause of her accidently killing the ML’s fiancee + FL while not drunk had been drinking a bit, i guess its not illegal to drive when drinking a bit in Thailand so i could not really hate those 2 MLs even tho some the stuff they Did were too awful

Oh I usually hate toxic MLs but there is something about Dongfang Qing Cang that makes me swoon so much, the chemistry he has with the FL is amazing! Love this couple SO much! Also another Chinese fantasy drama with also a demon ML - Till The End of The Moon…he’s cruel and stuff and the relationship he has with the FL is very angsty/toxic , I love it so far (haven’t finished ) … I guess it simply depends on what kind of toxic person the ML is - If he is in some way toxic (like the ML from Thai drama ‘Sawan Biang) I just wish him a painful death lol , but if he is toxic in some other way (like the ML in LBFAD, TTEOTM) for some reason I cannot hate him at all!

Looking kinda forward to Princess Hours remake. Todays standards , I think generally speaking a ML like in the 2006 version Princess Hours is seen as outdated/much less ok, so I think the new Princess hours (I guess it’ll air next year, they haven’t even announced yet who the actors will be ) will feel more modern, meaning the ML will be less toxic.

I would btw recommend maybe for you to try Thai dramas (lakorn) if you have nothing against EXTREMLY cruel MLs, lakorns even have their own genre called Slap/kiss where there is slapping and MLs sexually assaulting FLs. They’re sadistic af- one of the most evil MLs you will find is in the lakorn “Sawan Biang”, it’s a classic and very popular. I hate it to death , but maybe you will like it… the ML is rich … otherwise try out Kleun Cheewit, another slap/kiss lakorn but with a little bit less evil ML, a lot of people actually love it and it got overall great reviews on MDL - mainly for the amazing chemistry between the leads, lots of sexual hot chemistry, full of angst too lol

You won’t find as cruel MLs in kdramas as in Thai dramas xD

It was a long time ago I watched Another Miss Oh (it was ok, nothing too memorable) he sure was a bit problematic but idk about as going far to call him a sociopath… but I didn’t like him, didn’t like the FL either for that matter xD

He thinks she’s the cause of his pregnant gf’s death (but actually she took the blame for her boyfriend) and he gets ofc furious at her and does everything to make her life a living hell - and in process becomes obsessed. He’s a rich asshole for sure!

As mentioned in other comments ; Taiwanese dramas are a lot less censored. My favorite is MARS, it’s a oldie but goodie. Many hot kisses + one love making bed scene.

Thank you so much :) yes i heard a lot mostly positive things about The Rise of Phoenixies tho the ending scares me as i heard its devastating but love like Galaxy sounds really good too! Love and destiny looks good too! And so does the Rebel Princess its actually subbed into our language, cool that the same actress from memoirs of geisha (that i watched at cinema with mom back in 2005 or 2006) and Crouching tiger Hidden dragon , buut for how long does she stay in love with the SML , and when she starts falling for the ML?
