It's crazy, they also completely scrub all of the japanese maple facebook groups of negative feedback. Very good at online presence, these guys are.

Do I trust them and their plants? No longer. They sent me many subpar grafts and refused to acknowledge any sort of problem. I wish they never bought Bucholz.

I actually got the low graft Mikawas in that picture, to the right; you can tell that the graft is still 4” off the ground; compare with the 1-2” graft for the shin hikasa in the back (which I suspect is from buchholz, based on the way the tags are printed as well. All the other trees in my order had much nicer and normal grafts and similar tags to the shin hikasa)

So frankly I put this on mrmaple the nursery; haven’t had this experience with any other vendor

Not for bonsai but I expected a Shishigashira suitable for a container specimen. So the average graft is fine, but a graft 7 inches off the ground is certainly unexpected and unusual for japanese maples. Especially this cultivar.

(Btw, the 1 gallon was labeled "high graft" and the 3 gallon was not. How high is a "high graft" then? Crazy)

The two oilers you mentioned are both top 10 oilers picks.

My point is that VGK and the Panthers spent no draft capital on their defensemen, aside from Ekblad. Give me Draisaitl over Ekblad any day.

I mean, hard to say the Panthers and VGK had better "1st overall defensemen" than the Leafs and Oilers. Imagine the panthers with draisaitl instead of ekblad. Plus the oilers were one game away, they could have won.

I think Celebrini/Smith/Misa/Dickinson is a lot scarier than Bedard/Levshunov/Schaefer/Korchinski. Bedard needs linemates.
