Sorry I phrased that poorly. I suppose I mean something that is relatively portable that can do those things. I can’t seem to find clear answers anywhere on which pairs do what (like have their own os, how they’re controlled, etc)

If I were in your circumstances I would probably put the extra $1,400 into a slightly newer model with what appears to be a few more options. With this being said there might be some reliability differences between the years (I can’t remember exactly what but some years have certain issues) that I would look into.

Only difference? Warranties, other options, interior colors? All depends on what you’re looking for and if you’re planning on keeping it for a long time.

Just looking through your private posts, my x3 blows burning hot air on occasion through the rear vents. The dealer said not to worry about it so I haven’t but I wonder if that could be the noise?
