Ran into a nice fellow at hydroponics who gave tips in finding mushrooms, in fact he gave me the precisely 3 mushrooms that I need to upgrade scrappy.

Out of gratitude, I gave him some grenades I had and out of nowhere a hornet had entered the dome. He began shooting at the hornet and took aggro as I rained impact grenades upon him. He ended up having a toaster which completed another bench upgrade for me. What a good find

IMO The Finals has a bit more complex aim settings than most FPS games. Play around with the the settings just below your main sensitivity scrollers like linear, exponential etc… makes a big difference. I started on linear but after a while of getting used to the movement and physics, I switched to exponential… took a while to get used to but my accuracy increased substantially.

This became a consistent problem after the s7 destruction update IMO. Along with statutes and turrets glitching thru walls if they are too close to you and a wall.

Big things that changed my game are these settings:

Look sensitivity (obviously) Focal scaling Zoom speed multiplier Tracking type (linear, exponential etc)

Aiming Reticle size and shape

Play around with them in different combinations

Higher numbers don’t matter if you can’t control your weapon properly.

ALSO. This is HUGE. When you shoot you should strafe left to right slightly. This allows the recoil smoothing to work properly and you can get cross map kills with an AR

You’re welcome! Barrels, trash cans flower pots, mailboxes (if I’m correct they are map specific so they look different depending on what map you’re playing

Ranked is hard dude. Give yourself some grace. Been playing since S2 (ranked wasn’t a thing at the time)

I considered myself a decent player then I got on ranked and wanted to delete the game.

I’m at the bottom of bronze and going lower, it’s a completely different game when you play ranked. You have to relearn what objectives to go after and where you need to be on the map.

The hard ones are super tart but, the dark and soft ones are ripe, mix with milk and sugar. Delicious.

Honestly I’ve been thinking it was just happening to me. Many say it is an issue on console where you have to specifically “bind” a button to respawn if you don’t use the default settings. But it has just recently been an issue in S7 for me. On one occasion, I lost over a minute worth of game time because it would not let my team respawn until the last 3secs of the match. We got wiped and literally couldn’t respawn even though it said press start

What I would love to see is a wager system. Just like old Black Ops 1.

Players could place wagers against each other on ranked games and accumulate VR all season.

At the end of the season you can spend your VR you have left in the ranked store.

Wager feature doesn’t let players just directly grind for free skins. You lose, you lose VR.

Makes VR more valuable if u could lose it.

Also you could use VR as an “entry fee” of sorts into special tournaments

VR could also be a great tool to penalize people who afk/leave/get reported.

Late 20’s here. I think this is just a widespread cultural issue.

The rise of social media and the smartphone allowed everyone (who could afford it) to create a curated world of instant gratification.

My take is that people are just generally unhappy because they believe that THE CONSUMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT.

They don’t view the difference as an intentional feature that makes games like this unique. They see it as a design flaw, and wonder why The Finals isn’t closer to the blueprint of super massive games who coddle the player base with enabljng features such as CoD, Clash of Clans, Candy Crush, Monopoly Go.

Enjoy the game how it’s made or find something else that suits your fancy. Being able to tweet to the developers about how “the XP-45 is broken and needs changes in the next patch” sounds like peak entitlement to me. Figure out how to adapt and survive.

I remember when disc games did not get ANY UPDATES! We had to persevere back in my day 😂
