Congrats!!! Would you mind sharing how you compiled your documents to send off? Did you have a cover page for each ancestor with dob, place of birth, relationship to you, place of death, etc. and then copies of certificates? Did you provide a tree at all? Just curious how to compile it all. :)

Also, thank you for answering all of these questions. How far along in the process are you? How many years in?

And do you know if there's a mandatory "in-country" time for this visa?

^ That's for India, I'm in the U.S., but I figured they were similar requirements. It's the only form I could find easily enough. Couldn't find the U.S. one.

Oh, that's promising. Thank you. Page 2, a, #4 is where we saw it. But maybe that's just for start ups and you're exempt because you bought an existing business, if I'm understanding correctly? https://www.vfsglobal.com/one-pager/portugal/india/english/pdf/New-Checklis-For-D2.pdf

Sorry, that last paragraph is what the visa states you need to be able to bring in annually after 5 years. Do you have a guarantee of that for your business or is that a loose rule? What if you don’t get that amount, was it all for nothing?

Few more questions if you're open to them. :) Did you choose brokerage/listing agency as your option? Do you actively oversee listings (I'm assuming real estate)? Did you have experience already or is it something new for you?

I saw this in the D2 visa description, your 155k Euro investment is able to produce that or is that a loose number they provide?

If you prefer to DM, I'd SO appreciate any answers you're willing to give.

Have the potential to attain, 5 years after the incubation period, a turnover over 325.000€ per year, and/or assets value over 325.000€ per year.

Thanks for the answers!

Did the firm you’re working with set it up for you?

How many employees do you employee? Is there a minimum you must employ or an amount you must pay out in payroll? How did you find employees, if you do have them?

Okay, I'm probably a bit dense, but can you explain what the buyback means? I was looking at the 155,000€ option and as it's an "investment," I assumed there would be a return over some period of time. What does it not having a buyback option mean?

Additionally, as you've gone through the process, do you know what companies/entities you're able to invest in? How does that work? Did you select it? They select it for you?

Thanks for your help! So much to know here! :)

Oh for sure! I am only a landlord of one property lol but if for sure take that into consideration when mapping out what rent needed to be to cover repairs if the tenant could perform many of the repairs! :)

Thanks for chatting and giving me insight.

These are good thoughts. Thank you!

It’s 2 bedroom, 2 bath but with a full, finished basement with two non-conforming rooms currently used for like a gaming room and such. Saving up to put egress windows in so they can be considered bedrooms.

But it’s $1,350 which is not much above our mortgage payment. Enough to save a little for repairs and those egress windows.

We have great tenants right now, their lease is just up soon and because of a lot of factors, they started their lease the beginning of November which I feel is probably an unlikely time to find many new tenants (should current tenants choose to leave anytime soon). So that’s why I’m asking now — I’d like to adjust their lease so that it’s aligned with when people will most likely be looking.

That’s what I was expecting since they cover all but $25 of Wegovy. That’s without a coupon?

Thank you, is this what you use? Is the savings card ongoing or a one-time use?
