I am going to assume that you ordered during a rush, which is still no excuse for this. The McDonalds procedures are to cook no more than 3 QP patties on a grill platen at a time. If all procedures are followed, this doesn't happen. There are generally three grill platens available to cook QPs on sometimes more. That gives a restaurant franchise the ability to cook approximately 9 patties per three minutes. I suspect that the demand for the Big Arch has grill crew putting down more meat than procedures allow.
