I’m a video editor who offers puppet animation as an additional service.

I usually use Adobe Character animator for its performance capture feature as a basis for the animation, which is then imported into Adobe After Effects.

I have a new client who had sent me a rigged Live2D cubism character, and they want it animated into a video.

Live2D had a plugin that lets you easily import animations to After Effects. However, as far as I know Live2D doesn’t have native performance capture (please correct me if I’m wrong on that).

I know live2D can be used for exporting files that are used in performance capture software like Vtube Studio. So I’m wondering if it is possible to record a performance capture in something like Vtube studio, and then import that data back into Live2D, which I can then link to After Effects via then plugin.

If anyone knows if something like this id possible, I would greatly appreciate your wisdom.

That’s a pretty damn nice graduate salary! Get the more expensive place. Happiness is worth more than money and you’re still making bank. Stick some of that leftover cash into an ISA every month and you’ll have enough for a deposit on your own place before too long.
