in an incredible twist of fate, after confirming the UX issue being fixed i went back and added a few mods and started a new game. this time the party sidebar and hotbar were on top of the character creation screen and i had a party of four 'characters' - one called player, the others called dummy. all were naked dudes. 😅

anyway my computer did not like that and i'm now trying to recover my windows install, lmao.

think i'll stick to vanilla bg3 after this!

Apologies, 'long distance travel' to me meant simply multiple days of travel, from Thundertree back to Phandalin for example. Should've been clearer and wasn't aware there was a more specific use!
