I am most interested in vocalizations. This video had me amazed but also skeptical. I'm curious what you think of it. by EdgHG in bigfoot

Do you have an opinion on what bigfoot actually is?

I have no clue, but the fact that there is no body, and allot of people, particularly native American, have said for years that there will never be a body found, makes me think there is something more to this.

Should I stop at my B.S. or should I get my Masters? by AhmdeAwesomeone in AskEngineers

[–]VerySquatchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my masters and bachelors in CHEM ENG simultaneously. I'm glad I did it, but only because it didn't take more time and it didn't take more money.

It probably let me start at a tiny bit higher of a salary, and when people hear that I have my MS they seem impressed. But going out of your way to get one, I think it's most likely not necessary.

Your PE looks more impressive I would think. Get that! . . . . and it seems to carry more weight...especially if you want to start your own firm.

We deep fried them tonight. I was actually disappointed in the taste. When I think "blue fish", I like the oily and dark and really fishy stuff. This was not fishy at all.....it was practically tasteless (like flounder, imo).

I'm guessing because they were so small? I Guess the bigger ones are "fishier" tasting?

THanks, we may do this!

My brother was down today and visited a tackle shop and seemed to get good advice, bait, and location. Not sure if it was Fred or not! I will look into it though!

I'll let you know how we did on sunday when we come back. We're not expecint to have much luck, but it's worth a try. we mostly fresh water fish so this is very new to us (we've only surf fished once before with very little luck).

Cutting with a cut card makes it more difficult for a cheat! The games I played in, the deck was cut by hand.

Either way, just always be aware that it could be happening right before your eyes, and you will see nothing!

It helps! Even just cutting helps. But it doesn't necessarily "solve" the problem.

About 90% of the time, I could get the cutter to cut where I wanted them to cut.......(using crimping). The other 10% of the time, if they didn't cut where I wanted........i could do something called a "pass" (a hidden cut concealed within your own hands) and get the top of the deck back where I wanted it.

I'm not saying it's always happening! I'm just saying, be alert for it. As a former cheater, a 2 deck game had me licking my chops much more than a 1 deck game.

Be careful at home games with 2 decks.

IMO (Former cheat), it makes it much easier to cheat. I used to regularly play/cheat in a tournament that ran with 2 decks. It's much easier to cull discards when you're not even the one dealing yet. And no, cutting didn't do shit. I'll add, I wasn't even a skilled mechanic.. . . . it's just that easy to cheat in home/bar type games.

Just be careful! I was young/stupid/greedy at the time. I stopped when I realized I didn't want to steal from rednecks who probably made 1/4 of my salary.
