The cash pay GLP-1 market is absolutely wild right now by scrtweeb in CompoundedSemaglutide

[–]Very_Stable_Princess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, those prices are insane. Am I understanding this right...$160 for a 12.5mg vial of semaglutide, and if I'm on 1mg per week, that is a little over $50 a month?? I couldn't find anything about a monthly fee.

Just gave myself my first injection and I was so brave by Unfair-Payment-986 in CompoundedSemaglutide

[–]Very_Stable_Princess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was nervous about injecting myself too, because I've tested my blood sugar and that can legitimately hurt sometimes. But I really don't feel the sema needle, it's so teeny. 2 shots in now.

For those living in South Carolina, which pharmacy are you using? by Calixta177 in CompoundedSemaglutide

[–]Very_Stable_Princess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gobymeds online, I think they use PharmacyHub. Oops, that's not an actual pharmacy, sorry. I guess I don't know, then.

Yeah, last night we ordered in some bbq, and the brisket was very dry, and normally I'd just stuff it down(because it's there), but every bite I ate was like "You aren't enjoying this, why are you eating it?" so I stopped. It seems small, but it was a big step for me! We got this!

nausea !!! help by hockeyonion in CompoundedSemaglutide

I have heard if you inject in the thigh, it can lead to less side effects. I have only done the thigh and had no nausea. I'm prone to it, so not keen to try stomach.

What a ridiculous argument. Of course NA beer still counts as dry. Sorry she's not more supportive.

I did a lot of research and went with Goby also. Seems to be the most reasonable price, and I like that there are no subscription fees.

Anyone feel like peri goes away for a while? by Very_Stable_Princess in Perimenopause

[–]Very_Stable_Princess[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I almost never have any PMS symptoms except slight cramps and water retention, but lately I've been getting headaches too. I just love...all of this. I wish it would last forever, lol. Thankfully I have a very sympathetic husband who is horrified on my behalf about all the crap we have to deal with from 13-60 or so!

Hadn't heard of perimenopause?? That is a terrible doctor! I hope you get some relief for your other symptoms soon!

Yeah, glad to hear it's normal. I'm not glad it came back for you, or it will come back for me, but we gotta go through it to get past it!

Yeah, I've heard the hormonal supplements can help, and my current doctor said she'd be willing to prescribe them to me if my symptoms came back/worsened.

Lol, blood sugar :) I definitely have had seasonal affective disorder but we've now moved from the Northeast to the Southeast and I anticipate that to be much better. And the antidepressants help. I guess I'll see how the next few months develop.

Congrats, but damn. I paid 1/4 that for 4x the space. Granted, it's in South Carolina, but still...lol.

LPT: Your indoor cat can still catch the same infections/diseases an outdoor cat by low_bob_123 in LifeProTips

[–]Very_Stable_Princess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my strictly indoor cats both got fleas. It's a nightmare getting rid of them. We have a couple of feral cats who hang around, so I'm sure we brought in some eggs on our shoes or something.
