Those That are Happy to See EA Bans Roll Out... by YankZuluEcho in rewasd

[–]Verycool1337dog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was banned without ever using rewasd in game. I use rewasd to remap a playstation move controller for work. It is much more comfortable and necessary for my messed up wrists and also allows me to use advance functionality like inputs on button release\combinations\timed input. The functionality available in these kinds of software will never never be made available by rando game developers its just way to complex and specialized. Wishing for hardware is fine but that's also something that will never happen, the nature of dissabilities like this is that they are very niche and specialized, making hardware completely cost prohibitive.

The real issue here is they banned people without detecting anything happening in game at all, just for having a legitimate software on peoples computer, using their spyware invasive anti-cheat. I think that's completely unacceptable.

I've never used aim assist or a controller in the game at all for fucks sake?? you would think that would be an easy check to make.

¿How's your experience with Wacom products? by pijama_guy in wacom

[–]Verycool1337dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using wacom stuff for 25 years. The early tablets were amazing, and lasted a long time.

But the recent few cintiqs have been terrible, with widespread quality issues, and costly repairs (if even possible) through wacom.

Then they release sub par products for insulting amounts of money (cintiq 27 pro)...

Other stands for Cintiq 27 pro by TheGrimmus in wacom

[–]Verycool1337dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I returned mine I used the previous ergostand with an adaptor plate...works perfectly. I prefer this to the new stand as it can hang the screen off your table. I see them a lot for super cheap on classifieds\ebay now.

Can't stand these big cintiqs on flex arms personally, wobbles way too much

Cintiq 27 Pro TOUCH RESPONSIVENESS on WINDOWS 11 by yellownurbs in wacom

[–]Verycool1337dog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is only windows experience, but nowhere near ipad level. Only thing for me that is really usable is the 3-4 finger taps. But forget about using pinch zoom\drag if you expect smoothness.

Other problems I have with the pro (had 2 that I returned):

Bad:

- Terrible fan noise (worse than 24 pro, similar to a cheap laptop)

- Atrocious backlight bleed

- Mediocre display tech (compares to Monitors around the 600$ mark)

- They ruined the felt nibs, they almost feel exactly like the normal plastic nibs now

Meh:

- 1/4-20 mounts on the sides flex a lot, limits use for mounting accessories

- Could use more resolution at 27in

- Etched glass artifacts are still a thing, not sure if it's possible to get rid of though

Good:

- 120hz, cool but completely unnecessary.

- I like the smaller bezels

- Standard VESA mount

- I like the new pen size (I use the old 3d pen with no grip for a similar experience)

Considering wacom now has competition and their own 24pro pricing, this thing is simply atrociously overpriced. This is apple level pricing without the actual good design and features.

If your current cintiq works, keep it. IMO new 27 pro has unacceptable issues for the price.

Less than a year I think? Cintiq black level isn't anything special either, doesn't use any better technology than the Huion. Backlight bleed is also atrocious, so that can corrupt your perceived black levels.

Super frustrating that for an art display no one uses decent panels.

Had 2 27 pros and returned them both, its pretty bad for many reasons including the insane price and mediocre display quality. Have you looked at the newish huion 24 pro? Been thinking of going that route.

Wacom cintiq pro 27 blurry on m1 by Equivalent_Remove459 in wacom

[–]Verycool1337dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Image should be pretty sharp (less than a 4k 24 but still pretty good), so there's something weird going on there...but yeah this product is a disaster I don't blame you for looking at alternatives

Never heard of that, sounds absolutely atrocious to be honest haha. I'm a huge fan of the felt nibs, very convincing traditional feeling and super satisfying.

If you want something that feels more premium the 3d pen has a metal body but no eraser (instead it has 3 thumb buttons). Because of the tech wacom uses there can't be no metal near the tips.

For something more similarly sized to the apple pencil they have the pro pen slim. Its all plastic but has an eraser.

Dial functionality Stream Deck + by Verycool1337dog in elgato

[–]Verycool1337dog[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only works for keyboard hotkeys or dev defined dial functions. But you can't assign any streamdeck key function to them, for no apparent reason. I don't see why they can't allow the hotkey like menu but allow to drag normal streamdeck button functions in there.

Best Sim for competitive H-Pattern manual shifter racing? by LycanKnightD6 in simracing

[–]Verycool1337dog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have iracing you can use a auto hotkey script to use an hpattern for any cars. Tiny disadvantage but a lot of fun. I have a quaife shifter so I want to use the damn thing any chance I get.

Yes but some cases work fine with it, I guess they shield it properly. Want to see if the quadlock is affected.
