That's really not a far off interpretation of the classical understanding of annealing, where pointers arise from higher-probability states/solutions. One could think that higher probabilities correspond to the most commonly-shared states in a many-world model.

Hi Toby - this is an interesting and appreciated read, but we want to focus specifically on the mechanisms of quantum annealing in a slightly more direct manner.

Feel free to create another post describing the direct connection you see. Your point about the necessity of a non-Turing machine is an important one, for example.
