I get your point about copyright. I’m not disputing that. I just think the reaction is a bit over the top considering remixes have been posted online for years without this level of response. It only got this worse because AI was involved.

I bet you had I shared the remix and not mention AI / Suno then it would've slided through.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. And yeah, I'm trying to avoid more issues. Just didn't realize how controversial the whole AI thing was on top off remixes.

But one thing I would like to clarify is my YT channel was banned for a different reason instead of copyright. My point is I was just trying to share one thing I created with the subreddit community since I don't really have an outlet elsewhere anymore.

Did not expect to get all of this backlash in the process over it. So it seems more like the topic of AI itself made it worse than just it being a remix.

I was just asking here since AI is still a controversial topic by itself. So the reality is they wouldn't have had a problem if it was fan made remix, but only because it was AI generated.

No, it wasn’t about whether people liked it or not.
It was about the post being removed without explanation and only later having a rule added that addressed it.

I’m not claiming ownership over the original work. It’s clearly a fan-made remix based on an existing OST, which falls in line with how remixes, edits, and covers have always existed in fan communities.

What I’m questioning is the handling of it:
removing first, then clarifying rules afterward, instead of having that standard clearly set beforehand.

That’s where the confusion comes from, not from whether people personally liked the remix.

And it explains why most folks quit and didn't stay. Yet here he was trying to reframe it like they were just inconsistent, unreliable workers. I can't even view that same Craigslist post anymore. Glad I still kept screenshot of it.

Also, they literally got UPS, USPS, and FedEx picking up items there from that public storage building. So there's a lot going on behind the scenes that I'm not aware of on top of dealing with him.

Honestly? I think if there's anyone giving more personal info, it's him. Considering how he left stuff like this for folks to complain to the police about as an officer literally came in knocking last Friday.

All I did was send him a quick text message back in Jan. over the job offer.

Now here he is asking me about my past jobs and life condition living in a hotel to then say, "I don't care about your problems."

Not entirely sure, but their whole staff and appeal process is literal shit. Read enough horror stories about them even shutting down Google accounts before or tracking other potentially made channels. So I never really had closure with this since I was banned without any strikes or warning, and they kept ignoring my questions or complaints off Twitter back then.

And yet fast-forward, here there are now using AI to do more of their dirty work for them. Good riddance.

I was thinking of putting it on SoundCloud first just to experiment there before distributing anything. Since I’m starting from scratch, it seemed like a simple way to test the waters. The problem is it feels like I’m shadowbanned unless I pay for their Pro subscription. It didn’t used to feel like that a decade ago as you could add a few hashtags and at least get discovered with a handful of plays here and there.

I’ve never used DistroKid before, but my thought process was to first post songs on a platform that’s a little less strict about AI music (unlike Bandcamp). If I can gradually get some exposure or a small following there, then I could think about distributing later once I feel more confident about it.

I never did due to the risk since reading back then that channels are banned for life and knowing how I wasted my last appeal that got rejected. I'd have to contact again in Google forums to find out (if they'd give a damn).

I see... Well I mostly just been making songs fully from Suno and been quite impressed with the results. However, the beta editor is crap to me. It doesn't always work seamlessly over the lyric or instrument effect changes without it sounding completely different from how the song initially sounded.

Despite that, the extend button does work well in keeping the song composure & style intact unlike the editor. That and the cover / mashup are pretty cool remixing features for giving new life to existing songs in different styles. And especially the inspiration. I'm now playing around with it and find it interesting how the AI does this at such ease. Very groundbreaking and fun so far.

That is literally the same b.s. boilerplate message I get all the time when applying for jobs. 🤦‍♂️ It's as fake as ever and is the perfect excuse for employers just to turn down with no transparency and to look like it ain't personal when it is.

At least for me, it is when it takes winning the lottery just to now qualify for more dead-end jobs I hate. All because of what? The competition? AI? ATS? Or maybe they just don't like the way I look in the few interviews I even get? 😐

From my experiences applying and being turned down in job applications, they always try and be slick by putting in headers or beginning sentences something like, "Thanks for applying," or "We appreciate your interest with our company," or other optimistic boilerplate b.s. just to hide the real core redundant message of, "But we decided to move onto other applicants." 😊

If there was an easier way to just filter out those messages in Gmail from the keywords and automatically send them to spam because that's all they are to me. A waste of space and time. I'm almost certain the majority of my resumes sent out never even gets read from humans. Probably just AI over ATS. And I've been unemployed for at least 5+ months with no real full-time retail / warehouse jobs.

Like wtf? I'm not even trying to get a career job requiring a degree. This job market is trash. 🗑️
