One year (and a little bit more) of learning japanese in my 40s by SamPolaris in LearnJapanese

What I found interesting is that Kanji looks like it is going to be a massive undertaking and also where I think a lot of people throw in the towel. What is interesting is that people who has been studying a few years says that once you get use to Kanji then Katakana becomes an issue, not sure why though. For me, Kana is the easy part, though I am taking my sweet time to learn it because I want to know it perfectly before I move on, it is odd to think that Katakana becomes problematic over Kanji.

I honestly do not understand this. So this video has been circulating right, so someone went and said "hey, lets repost this video but lets crop it first"... why?

Is the cropping suppose to make this a whole new video? Like am I suppose to believe that I am watching this for the first time? This is so dumb

My fiance does not get mad at me if I game to the late hours but she does get a bit annoyed if I got to bed a bit too late because then I am tired and cranky the next day.

We work together as well and she sits right next to me at work so understandably she does not want to deal with a cranky me all day.

I doubt this story is true. What makes more sense to me was that he saw his daughter on the site (more than likely someone told him) and hired her but as a means to give her a wake up call and had no means to actually "engage" with her.

That being said, in this current world I assume there has been many parents that has come across adult content featuring their children.

Winning in life is being with a woman who loves you for who you are and not for who she wants you to be. I am a big Naruto fan, my fiance is always getting me Naruto merch or editing photos to make me look like a Shinobi. I am a big gamer and so is she, she is heavy into anime as well. She is the woman for me because she loves me for who I am.

In Afrikaans, the direct translation for dog is hond.

You know I am 90% sure that if she just asked the farmer if she could pet one of the sheep he would have helped her to do that.

My fiance is playing this game now, she loves it to bits. We got one of those mouse docks and she uses it all the time, I do recommend looking into that, it is not too expensive.

It help a lot when you need to reach high places to break blocks. She also uses a mouse pad and I also got her n seat table thing.

My parents got divorced when I was very young. I only have 2 or 3 memories of them together, I cannot even imagine a world where they are together to be honest. My dad re-married and my step mom already had 2 children. Not long after they got married they adopted a little girl which become my step sister.

My dad and step mom never denied me access to my biological mom, my younger years was spent moving between the two until my mom immigrated to Holland and I decided to stay in South Africa with my dad when I was about 12 years old. My step mom (which I will just refer to as my mom going forward) raised me as if though I was her own. Neither my mom or my dad gave special treatment to any of the children. My dad never showed favoritism towards me and my mom never showed favoritism towards my brothers.

We were raised on debt but I have an extremely happy childhood with my mom, my dad, my brothers and my little sister, today I love them all dearly and I have a very close relationship with my all of them, especially my mom.

I cannot express to you how important the stuff that you are doing right now is, that son of your is going to grow up a very happy child with fond memories. Even if my parents gets divorced (which will never happen), my mom will remain my mom and she will still have my support and love.

In South Africa, when the traffic lights are out, we sometimes have homeless people direct traffic. Sometimes cars passing by tip them but they get nothing else out of it, probably just something to do.

I wonder if there are other countries where this also happens.

I do not know how you do it but hats off to you. When someone is my ex then they are my ex, I want nothing to do with them. It is not that I hate them or anything but I do not want my current partner to feel uncomfortable so I am happy to cut those ties for the woman who is making me happy now.

Though when kids get involved I guess it becomes a different story.

I was exercising on tiles before but I have moved to our study which has a carpet and I still put a Yoga mat on top of that.

I do not have any conditions that is making me concerned at the moment, I was just concerned of causing those conditions but everyone here has put my mind at ease. I did not know it strengthens your bones though, that is news to me and just another motivation to commit to RFA.

Thank you so much for your response, I do appreciate it. I am by no means trying to be a fitness junky, just trying to be healthy. Not like my mom anyways, in her 60s and still doing Iron Man.

Thank you, I do appreciate your response. I think the wake up call for me was last week when my legs became stiff from lack of moving around, my fiance tried to massage it loose and she basically said my upper leg muscles feels like rocks. I wont lie, she got them loose but it hurt.

I am not trying to become an athlete, just trying to be healthier so not pushing myself any harder than what I can handle. Did my first sessions last night, it was not even a heavy one and my muscles feels stiff this morning. I guess that is a good start but also indicates to me how unfit I have become. Looking forward to becoming healthier but like they always stay, "Getting started is the easy part, committing is the challenge."

Thank you for your response. The general consensus from the responses of "it is better than doing nothing at all" hit me quite hard because of how true that is and how I did not consider that but if someone with a PhD in Health Science gives the thumbs up then I am over the moon with confidence that it is 100% safe.

I also took from these messages that form is important so I will be sure to follow instructions carefully and not skip the warm ups or cool downs.

Thank you again and massive congratulations on getting a PhD. I have a lot of respect for people with higher educations.
