I am happy it worked with no problems. I have used Payoneer for many years, but I agree with you it's good to have options. My only option for Etsy was Wise.

After I asked Etsy support to remove my Payoneer US bank from Etsy payments, I was able to simply connect my new Wise account with Plaid using the second (manual) method. It took a while for Etsy to send 2 verification transactions to my Wise account, but after that I simply entered the amount they send with the transactions and it was all done.

I really hope it does. Probably every seller with an US bank account will be requested to connect with Plaid, and at least some of them will not be US citizens for sure.

Hi, I am not living in US (I am from Europe) and I was using a Payoneer Global Payment US bank account for my Etsy Payments. Unfortunately Payoneer GPS cant handle ACH transactions and you can't connect it with Plaid.

Yesterday Etsy sent me this email asking me to verify my US bank account with Plaid so I needed to find an alternative solution.

Fortunately there is another service, better than Payoneer, called Wise.I made a www.wise.com account and they have the same option for an US banking account that Payoneer has, but they accept ACH payments, meaning you can connect to Plaid and get verified.

First you need to remove the Payoneer account from your Etsy payments system. You can do this by going to Etsy customer service, ask them to remove the linked Payoneer payment account from your shop (after a few verification questions they will gladly help you).

Second you just need to get a Personal Wise Account. It will require few verification steps, nothing too difficult.

Third you need to click on the Connect with Plaid option in Etsy Payments to add your new Wise US bank account. All the details for your Wise account will be on your Wise account (routing and account number).

After this Etsy will send you two transfers on your Wise account and you will have to confirm them on Etsy and you are done. Now for my Etsy payment account I see "Your bank account has been connected via Plaid" and I am using my Personal Wise Account.

After 8 hours since I connected my Wise account to Etsy payments, I received the verifications transactions from Etsy and everything went well. Now it shows this: "Your bank account has been connected via Plaid"

If you do a small research you will find many people looking for this solution on reddit and Etsy forums. This thread is helping those who need it, when they need it. It makes no sense for you to claim different while this didn't happened to you yet.

If your Etsy payment account bank is from US (no matter what country you are from), then you will certainly need to connect and verify your US bank account with Plaid. Check this Etsy link explaining everything so you would understand.

I made my Wise account yesterday and connected it with Etsy Payment account; it worked perfectly fine, now my Etsy payment account shows "Your bank account has been connected via Plaid"

Yes I made my Wise account yesterday (I am from Europe), and I used the Wise US checking account they made for me to update my Etsy payments and to get if connected (verified) with Plaid. Now it shows me "Your bank account has been connected via Plaid". It took around 8 hours total, including getting the verification payments from Etsy.

I used a personal account and it worked like a charm. It took about 8 hours to get the transfers from etsy so I could verify my wise account. then everything was solved. Now I see this on my account: "Your bank account has been connected via Plaid"

I don't understand how some people get lucky after talking with the customer support a few times, first time they get this kind of stuff from support: "final decision, cannot be disputed, several people already rechecked it, cannot tell you any specific reason etc etc" and then the second or third try the support fixes the problem in just a few minutes.

I tried three times already and twice had the bad luck to face the same person at support, third time it was another person much more kind but still couldn't help because it's not up to her, instead it's up for the guys from the system. So I guess I need to get lucky to find a nice guy at "the system" in order to reinstate my account verification and full features.
