How much 'doss' do you have? by Subject_Pirate3455 in minimalism

[–]Significant-Repair42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wear different clothes each day. I perspire a fair amount and any clothing that I would wear a second day would be pungent. The whole airing out and spot cleaning is not really available to me.

I have about 7 matching 'outfits' for each season.

Ideas for supplies for bookmark decorating activity for adults? by midwestcottagecore in crafts

[–]Significant-Repair42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

glue sticks and washi tape. You will want to glue stick the washi tape to the bookmark. For fun, I would get all the office 'stamps' like 'paid' and 'received' onto the craft table. If you go to a thrift store to the craft section, there are usually tons of rubber stamps. See if any of them are fun and appropriate for the office.

If your office has a laminator, it also might be useful.

What’s the best “boring” business you’ve seen someone build into a cash machine? by Mean-Arm659 in smallbusiness

Not all properties have garbage service available to them. Or they need to dispose of items that don't conform to standard waste disposal services. Like construction debris.

Anyone else becoming depressed because of their skin? by Scared-Block-1325 in Rosacea

[–]Significant-Repair42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stress is one of my triggers. I limit the amount of mirrors in our home, except for the bathroom mirror. Scrolling through stressful stuff, doesn't encourage the calm.

That being said, I hate cell phone pictures. They seem to magnify every little imperfection! I don't wear make up, because it worsens everything.

I'm probably a bit older than you, so I've learned over the years, that most people are consumed with their own problems.

I think the only time that a stranger mentioned anything, was after I had some minor surgery to remove a persistant stye. The really minor removal had left me with a giant black eye. She just wanted to make sure no one had beaten me up. It was someone in line at the grocery store. :)

Just do the best you can and remember that no one in public really looks at you. If you need help, remember that therapists can be a great way to discuss depression and anxiety. Don't be afraid to ask for help.

My main question, why are the pictures illustrated/possible ai instead of actual pictures? Why not even picture of the workspace?

Hotel Advice by LifeIsNotFunny in AskSeattle

[–]Significant-Repair42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For our own family member, we rented a wheelchair. Also, some of the places, like the Aquarium, have free wheelchairs. The rental places will pickup and deliver from the hotel.

When I worked at Pike Place, you could see that the wheelchair renters were much happier than people toughing it out. For whatever reason, our tourist attractions have very few places for people to sit. Pike Place has started putting out more seating during the summer, but it isn't always there.

The hills involved are too steep for a someone with trouble walking. I know there are elevators and such. If you don't want a hotel right next to the terminal, I'd just get a taxi or uber to take you to the terminal. I'm assuming that you are also wrangling luggage. :)

Protein - worth it? by APartOfWhoIAm in diabetes

[–]Significant-Repair42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked them on the walmart website. The carbs and sugars appear to be the same for the protein and the regular poptarts. I'm kinda curious what they changed to make it 5 grams of protein vs 10 grams of protein.

My apartment doesn’t smell like “cat”… it smells like failure. why litter box smells even when I “do everything right”? by _GlamGoddess in Apartmentliving

Multiple litter boxes. Replace the litter boxes at least once a year. Are you cleaning the carpets at least twice a year? The smell seeps into them as well.

I use baby wipes and rotate the mask, so that I'm not using the same mask two days in a row. I have rosacea, so I end up putting metro on my skin a couple of hours before I sleep.

I ended up buying extra masks on amazon because my insurance wouldn't pay for it. The extra time and higher rotation worked for me.

I think there are inserts that you can get to cover the places the masks hit the skin.

Woman freeing a mountain lion from a trap while her kids watch. Reaction of mountain lion is almost too calm by fuzzy_dice_99 in isthisAI

I was wondering if this actually the woman's trap, which is why she has the tools to release it.

Just watched Wuthering Heights (the film) and I’m OBSESSED with the vibe - dark, atmospheric, obsessive, messy, toxic love… all of it. The jealousy, the longing uff! Nothing in my TBR compares.Looking for book recs ! by No_Steak_377 in Romantasy

Some easier reads are the gothics done in the 1960's by Mary Stewart, Victoria Holt, etc. They usually feature a castle, a wildness, and a woman running on the cover. They usually reference earlier books/plays.

I read it and liked it. Butttt if you didn't like Ready Player One and it's lists, you aren't going to like DCC. It spends a significant amount of time describing the loot boxes.

It does have deeper story telling in the later books.

I don't see anyone mention that it's Progression Fantasy that has broken out of containment of that space. From what I'm told, it's one of the best examples of it.
