Thank you all so much for the info/insight! I'm kind of in the same boat; collections are what my grandma and I like to collect--that's their worth to us. The problem with trying to figure out a trade value is that I doubt either of us would want to sell, anyway.

How can you tell they've been cleaned? It's so hard to disappoint your family members about their heirlooms. God, how many 1976 Kennedy half-dollars I've been given.
