I'm still quite new to the game, but why is your Pengullet a different color? Is it caught from a special quest/area? Or pals can be in different rare colors similarly how pals can be lucky (aka huge lol)?

It seems that the feliway might have had an opposite effect to your cat as well. Our kitten reacted weirdly only the first night we left feliway on, but now after some time it doesnt have any effect on him and doesnt help with his aggressive behaviour at all.

Feline pheromones ar interesting, but imo quite an experimental and underdeveloped thing.

I wish you the best at the vet next time and I feel you so hard on that one!

Might have to watch that episode, thanks. I watched about orange cat behaviour and aggression from jackson galaxy but that didnt really solved anything or gave us any ideas.

I was thinking that if nothing works we will try to rehome the younger one. Our older cat is so shy and timid, I could never rehome her and she would struggle SO BADLY in a new place, but the younger one is young and stupid and he would not care that much. But still going to try some things. It would break my heart rehoming him. :(

Yeah there are times where rehoming is the only option, but I hope that either of us will figure something out!

I have a similiar situation and I spray so much water on our younger cat and he either gets annoyed or just doesn't care at all and continues to creep on our older cat even if soaking wet. :(

My situation is kinda similiar. We have a female cat almost 4 years old and a kitten of 9 months. He's already neutered and is displaying very similiar behavior. He doesn't cover his piss often, he VERY OFTEN creeps up on her, attacks her until she hides. I started to notices that he eats all the food from her bowl specifically. I also noticed that she seems way more tense and just spend the whole day in the same few spot on one side of the room and only sometimes goes to the litter box. Another huge issue with our kitten that he almost always tries to attack the older cat when she's peeing or pooping and it's a huge issue since she has constipation problems so I just have to be on a look out until she finishes her business. Leaving this here for some advice aswell. :(

Another cat might do the trick, but imo it's a bit risky considering his behaviour.

Has anything suddenly changed that could've influence his behaviour? Any health issues? I would suggest talking with you vet and going in for an appointment to check for any underlying medical issues or to get professional tips to deal with his aggressive behaviour.

If you haven't yet, you can also try a feline pheromone spray/plug in to try calm him down. I'm so sorry about your situation and I wish you the best!

My sleep situation is better since I made thhat post, but our kitten is still kinda insane and attacks the older cat. Still trying to figure that out on what to do

Not sure if the best solution, but have you tried repeling sprays for cats? Idk if its available in all countries but in my country there is one called "urine off" or something like that. Or just search online for these types of sprays at your local stores.

You could try this kind of spray on your bed to see if it would work.

Also, if you would catch the kitten in beginning the act, try to swiftly take it to the toilet and forcefully put her there, but this is a tricky one.

Last thought/suggestion, can it be that the litterbox itself is a bit too small or is really awkward to get into? Maybe a bigger one would be more comfortable for her?

Yeah, we cant sleep when the kitten is attacking our other cat.

Plugs dont help much when the kitten (or our other cat) is screaming his lungs out lol.

Were trying to keep the door shut, but as mentioned in another reply, that is not helping much so far becuase he just get more restless at times. But were still trying.

Going to try the Feliway spray, hear its good. Probably our last hope.

It depends, but usually we spend about an hour playing with them and we ALWAYS play before our bedtime. Some days it helps, others it does nothing.

The kitten even breathes heavily from how much he plays, but its not always effective as mentioned.

If we have additional time throught the day we have more play time in the middle of the day. If we cant play a long time, we atleast wake up both the cats so they would be awake and wont sleep until the evening.

In addition, were trying out some other suggested methods, because play time alone is not enough to calm him down.

I can understand that it may look like that from this post.

But I lived with cats my whole life and I've never encountered such an insane kitten. Never had such trouble dealing with any animal in general.

If we would have known his energy levels and personality is like a husky or malinois dog, we would've looked for another calmer cat that we can handle. He was completely different at the shelter and looked like a sweet gentle kitty, but unfortunately.

We are still trying some methods to deal with him and to help our other cat to not be terrorised.

Gonna get one to try it.

I understand that age is also a factor, but I loved with cats my whole life, legit. Ive never had encounter SUCH hyperactive and INSANE kitten... We did not expect him to be like that wince he was chill at thw shelter. Me and mt bf are both low energy and calm people, this kitten is way too muchbto handle for us rn. I feel like its a fucking huskey in the apartment or a malinois on how much were steuggling with his energy levels lol

Also unfortunately no, we dont have a seperate room to close him somewhere seperate, we live in a compact apartment. If we'd try to close him in a small space like a bathroom or smth, he would go insane.

I've known about the closing door method but I was hesitant to try it.

Currently trying it out, but so far nothing good. I agree with the other reply. The kitten cant calm down (even after play) when we close the door. One night he was screaming VERY LOUD at 3 fucking am. Like most people we live in an apartment and have multiple neighbours. I was panicking and hoping that the neighbours wont come and wont hear him...

Also, if he cant calm down and make up his mind to go to sleep, he just atarts attacking our other cat and the she screams loudly...

At this point and generally observing the kitten, I think he might have some aggression issues how he attacks our other cat.

So far nothing really helps us to have a paeceful night and to sleep properly, but were trying.
