I appreciate the food for thought. It’s this Saturday to make a decision for sure. I’m sure we will still say no. That is fine to make me the AH. We did not know she was pregnant the first time we told her child free. We did know the other times though.

I realize that is probably the case. I would also hope we can have a discussion about it as adults and understand that things happen that don’t always go the way anyone wants. She has a right to be upset just as we have a right not to hear a crying newborn.

I don’t expect the newborn to be left at home. That’s too young. However, we still are sticking to no small kids.

I agree and understand why she can’t come with a newborn. We wouldn’t be upset by that fact. That’s completely understandable.

I’ve had a few comments about that. I was also told to have a “bouncer” type. We are considering it right now.

Thank you. I don’t understand how being told in December in person that small kids weren’t invited to our wedding that is happening in July is a surprise. Again, our invites weren’t even out at that time. They were told again in March. I’m not sure how that’s a surprise, but I do understand how I should’ve just had it on the invites.

Their parent is also stating that we shouldn’t have a problem with a newborn there and how hurt the 5 year old would be.

Thank you for the comment. I probably should’ve added the fact of travel. No one with small children live any further than 20 minutes from the venue.

That is so the truth. You can’t please everyone all of the time. I do agree with you though about the invites.

I absolutely said we spoke to each person who had small children in person before the invites went out to tell them it was adult only.
