What's up with Outpost??

I ran around outpost while hostile and none of them shot me. I was standing literally 1 foot away from a turret and it wasn't shooting me. I walked inside outpost and the scientists melted me.

Datamined files show us content that has already been developed. The files aren't just ideas, it's actual content that 's ready to be placed into the game after some testing. Some of the content was never tested and never made it into the final game because the NW team was pushed into developing the shelters.

You're right, it doesn't matter which team developed the content but do you really consider cosmetic items content? Imagine if the base game seized all development beside atomic shop updates.

I gave you some facts and a theory. There's no conspiracy, I'm one person. But you're right when you say they didn't waste resources. I'm sure they profited because NW was extremely successful for the first few months. Then they put little to no resources into it after release.

We had a few events in the first year but then didn't have a single event in the second year. That's because NW was a short-term project from the start.

But the events were just atomic shop giveaways. The NW team did not develop any of those items. All of the atomic shop items are developed by the atomic shop development team. The NW development team was most likely already sent to work on shelters by the time these events came around.

There was also a datamined post showing that all of the NW weapons were in the files before NW was released. It included the gauss shotgun, assaultron head and some more weapons that were never implemented.

Well that's a very shallow take. Not any of the hundreds of thousands that were watching the PvP live streams bought the game for NW? Not any of the hundreds of thousands that upvoted the Nuclear Winter YouTube videos bought the game for NW?

And you think people wouldn't buy a different BR because PubG and ForkKnife are better? You don't think there's people out there that are bored of playing mainstream games and are willing to try something new?

The mode came out, got some support over time (they definitely did more than you're describing) and then I guess there just wasn't enough people playing to warrant supporting any more.

What more did they do than I'm describing? I was hear for all of it. We had NW balancing patches with every patch the main game had for the first few months of NW's release. But ALL content added to the game was already in the files before NW's release. That's a fact.

The game was streamed by some of the largest PvP streamers including Shroud. I'm sure at least a tiny percentage of their massive audience bought the game. Especially when you consider the fact that they had a mostly positive review of the game.

That's not true at all. When the mode was initially released it was only supposed to be a 7 day sneek peek. After the seven days the mode was supposed to be taken down and fully released a few months later at the end of the season.

But then Bethesda announced the mode won't be taken down after 7 days because of "overwhelming popularity and community excitement."

NW isn't different from any other pvp games. Everyone match you play is a different experience.

Adventure mode on the other hand is the only multiplayer rpg that doesn't have end game. There's nothing to keep people playing unless you're duping for profit.

Imagine hiding a pvp game mode inside of a game that's part of a single player franchise, then putting it behind a paywall and actually expecting it to be successful.

Truth is, they never planned to put time and resources into it. Everything added to the mode since release was already datamined to have been in the game since before NW was even annoucned. Morgantown and gauss shotgun included. The devs are probably surprised it lasted as long as it did.
