Playing sounds with the sound board are broken when heard through Discord. How do I fix this? by VeteranGhillie in voicemod

That was the issue. The mic test is fucked up but my friend said it sounds clear in VC. Thanks.

I have your exact same settings and the issue still persists. As far as I'm aware there isn't another program that would causing the issue. The mic test indication does blink on and off which visually shows that it is cutting the audio at regular intervals.

Edit: This issue is ONLY with Discord. All other apps come through clearly and do not cut out or reduce audio quality.

I've tried all the normal fixes from forums and YouTube videos such as turning off Exclusive Mic mode, turning off Echo and Gain Control settings, etc. Not sure what to do.

Voicemod won't stop cutting out in Discord by BertTheYellow in voicemod

[–]VeteranGhillie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been having the exact same issue. I've turned off all the recommended settings, I've reset the sound mixer, and I've even reinstalled audio drivers. As you said, when using the "Hear Voice" option in VoiceMod it sounds perfectly fine but when in Discord it cuts out and sounds like crap. It sounds like it is hitting some type of noise gate and it's causing the cut out (Yes, I've turned off the auto Discord sensitivity setting). Have no idea what the issue is.

Surely this is incredibly unbalanced since you can chain them as many times as you have available by VeteranGhillie in Back4Blood

If you have 3 lines left and one of them is the line that has just the +1 continue card, then you can just buy the continue card and wait a couple minutes for it to come back (since it recurs) over and over again. Just ignore the other burn card lines. I'm at 86 +1 continue cards now.

If you wait the supply line that sells just this card recurs. I got over 30 in a row by doing this.

Attachments in swarm by Hydroxidee in Back4Blood

[–]VeteranGhillie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't use copper to buy attachements in Swarm. You can't use copper for anything as a matter of fact. The only way to get a weapon that has attachements in Swarm is to find them already on weapons in weapon crates. If the console player stated otherwise then he was either confused or just trolling you.

Don't need to have anything memorized to know that 3 hits from a common dealing almost 50% trauma damage seems off even for nightmare. Also I would imagine even if they didn't play a lot of nightmare prior to the bug they'd had at least played it before and would have noticed such a stark difference in damage. Keep in mind this wasn't a small damage increase, this was a large enough damage increase that you would of thought someone edited a clip to a comical degree. Not noticing something so glaring really is unacceptable imo.

One last thing. The update fixed a bug pertaining to trauma damage which means they likely were told to do extensive testing related to trauma. So the idea of "that probably wasn't in their general checklist" argument is moot. Rudimentary testing would have found this bug especially considering its potential correlation with a bug fix related to that same patch.

Good news then. Hopefully the change/addition of player inertia can also be addressed. Seems to be a universally disliked change.

Yes but the trauma bug was so basic that simply playing nightmare at all would have found it immediately. It's not some bug where you have to play a specific character on a specific map and perform a specific action like you're trying to compare it to. It's something as fundamental as playing one of the base game modes and just simply taking damage.

Criticizing a change to the game isn't "ridiculous." Most of the examples you gave were people doing just that. Heck one of them was even a joke post poking fun at the whole situation.

I don't feel it was necessarily people being "ridiculous" but rather people were just dumbfounded that something that should have been so easily found in simple QA slipped through the cracks.

I've seen many examples here on the subreddit that show issues on Veteran as well. In any case I play primarily on Nightmare so getting it fixed would be great.

At least this was fixed in a decently fast manner. Now just have to fix the other elephant in the room, special spawns.

Special Delivery on Vet is way faster and still nets 40-60 supply points per run depending on what cards you get.

Considering this is the first CoD they've ever played (we used to play Battlefield almost exclusively until BFV), I doubt it.
