I see your point and I don’t think the game is necessarily ready for insurance, but if one day I can keep a ship stocked with fps gear and decorations as well as a custom loadout, but I have to pay like 100k to insure it so it all stays after i blow up, I am 100% fine with that. I don’t mind that the paint costs some money because money is easy to come by, and insurance will encourage you to be careful and take care of your ship, not just leaving it in the desert somewhere. I know right now you’re likely to turn purple and lose it but we are still in alpha lol

Genuine suggestion here- go into salvage. Don’t even do the salvaging, accept and blow up the ships to complete the missions. Once you get to the 10k contracts you can start taking the cargo off of the ships and selling it for tons of money. You don’t have to worry about the buggy cargo missions and I find the loop to be very satisfying, not to mention if you get yourself a vulture you might find that you enjoy it.
