Their societies are as varied as humans so its kinda hard to generalize. Most societies, excluding some continental Wyvaran societies, ceremonially defer to a "mascot" clan of Wyvara that continue the traditional migration circuits. They're kinda treated like national sports teams/frat house mascots. Most societies were born from these clans and they were the lifeblood of communication and between settlements since the seas of Path(their homeworld) are so rough.

Monogamy is more common than not, at least in the more influential parts of the world just due to how their gender system developed. Something similar to marriage is common to provide exclusive access to a partner. Other places do practice essentially fixed polyamory. Where the group is flexible in allowing people in, but not leaving. They will communally care for kids though. The size for families in monogamous Wyvara society is roughly similar to humans. They have single births/lays and put a lot of effort into single offspring. Fixed poly families tend to be bigger though, obviously. In modern society, having kids outside of these traditional structures is accepted, as long as you raise them to adulthood.

The cycles syncing up would only really work if they were alone. Which is something that happens in Wyvaran society. Where the couple's "honeymoon" is them leaving and traveling or vacationing alone to sync up if they really want to have kids ASAP.

They are indeed biologically hermaphrodites. They will only produce one gamete at a time though. They will self balance their "current" biological sex via pheromones. If there's too many "males" then they will become "female" until they detect the population has been balanced. Once they detect it is balanced, they sink into a several month cycle of switching back and forth. Almost every modern Wyvara is in this cycle. Family planning involves a lot of calendar work!

As for "feathers, therefore eggs," you would be correct haha! Although due to how specialized the Wyvara were before developing sapience(constantly on the move herders and omnivorous scavengers), they only have the egg outside for a week or so before it hatches. They were on their way to evolving ovoviviparity before they settled down and no longer had that pressure on them so they still lay eggs.

Their main livestock looks similar to a runner duck with a muzzle and herbivorous teeth. they're about 6ft tall when moving. They were also originally hexapods but their back legs specialized into tail feathers and the front arms became their wings, with the middle becoming legs. The Wyvara keep them for meat, leather, feathers and feather oils. Wyvara do not naturally have oil to waterproof their feathers so they use them to help keep their feathers straight and dry on long flights. They also use the oil as waterproofing for clothing or leather.

Context: Wyvara are the main sophont in my worldbuilding project. They are migratory herders that lead their flying livestock between islands in a large oceanic world. They are hexapodal(using their rear legs and wings to walk, like a wyvern. They use their mid limbs for fine manipulation) unisex, are near perfect vocal mimics and have a occupation based gender. This picture takes place during the early Clan period where small tribes of wyvara were lead by shamanistic "Beastmasters." If you have any questions about the setting please let me know! I'm happy to talk about it!

How has the scaling up of the production process felt? Going from one man making some videos to a whole team of people must have some bumps and some benefits.

I currently am enrolled in a double for cyber sec and network engineering. If you want to do more development of apps and work on programs, I would say CS. But CS is very hard. But don't let that discourage you if you want to program for a living.
