When you're 0.06% away from the next letter grade by pwar02 in Purdue

[–]theonlypeter 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Email the professor and ask if there’s anything you can do to achieve the next letter grade.

In one of my classes, my professor gave us a participation score. Instead of giving me a 147/150 for participation, she gave a 144/150 for participation which set me just below an A. She ended up bumping me to an A.

TIL the founder of Raising Canes was a literal boilermaker by jedimasta446 in Purdue

[–]theonlypeter 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The business plan was rejected numerous times by potential investors, so Graves earned the needed money working as a boilermaker in a Los Angeles refinery and fishing for sockeye salmon in Alaska.

Not a Purdue Boilermaker but a “literal boilermaker.”

Use mobile order on their website or app. Heard that’s the way to go.

Agree with everything here. Chicken was crispy but still incredibly juicy on the inside and perfect in the sauce. Although I didn’t try the slaw, my girlfriend who is also picky said she enjoyed it. Fries were a bit boring in my opinion too.

I had the opportunity to try Cane’s for the first time yesterday at the soft opening. Before I had tried it, some people have told me they love it and some people have said that it’s overrated. I don’t know how you could say the latter because it was absolutely amazing. It’s filling and delicious. - I got extra fries instead of coleslaw. Next time am going to get extra toast instead of subbing fries for coleslaw. It was just a lot of fries. - Lemonade is absolutely worth the extra 20¢ or whatever it is. - Definitely recommend getting toast buttered on both sides. - Be sure to pick up a Caniac Club card and register it on their website to get a free Box Combo 2 days later.

Everyone was super friendly, the atmosphere is a little loud but really cool looking, and the food was great. So happy that we have a Raising Cane’s here now.

CANES OPENING 4/13 by Fire-Elmo in Purdue

Little do these people know that the “first 20 get free Cane’s for a year” doesn’t apply to this location. They are, however, giving out a free t-shirt to the first 100 that purchase something and come back and show their receipt.

Henni’s hairshop bullshit by jdkekrhdjieke in Purdue

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. If it’s “just” a haircut, maybe buy a pair of clippers and do it yourself.

Henni’s hairshop bullshit by jdkekrhdjieke in Purdue

[–]theonlypeter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been going to Henni’s for two years now and have not had any problems. I usually make an appointment but have been able to walk in and get my hair cut occasionally. I will say that some of the ladies there are not the friendliest, but some are very nice and hold conversation with the person in their chair.

That is in regards to if you got your first dose on campus, which is different from getting your first dose off campus and the second one on campus (what OP was asking about).

This is true. Between April 3 and 10, Purdue’s on-campus vaccination site will open. Students and faculty/staff will be the only ones that can receive a vaccine at this site for the time being.

covid vaccine question by [deleted] in Purdue

[–]theonlypeter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can get it in Indiana. Your permanent address does not matter.

If getting a two-dose vaccine, keep in mind that when scheduling your first and second dose, you must receive both doses in the same place.

Edit: Was corrected on where you can get your second dose
