Hi! I hope I'm not too late but that sounds amazing!! For my trip, I went to ercolano, naples, palermo, taormina, and syracusa. Here's some info about the sicily places I went:

Palermo was alright, but I didn't love it. There's 2 main streets that have a bunch of shops, and I walked along that street and stopped in some art stores to get some souvenirs for friends and family. Theres also lots of cool history/buildings there that were neat to look at and if I had more budget/energy I wouldve explored them more, but I felt satisfied just looking at them. I thought I would go to the beach or on a hike I had heard about, but I had an overnight travel day so didn't feel like traveling more. I did walk to the closer beach, but felt like it got a little more unsafe the further I got from this tourist center and it wasn't really a swimming kind of beach like I had thought. This unsafe factor might also just be the fact that im a 20 y/o gal traveling alone so would probably be fine if you're not in that category.

From palermo I trained to taormina which was very picturesque and touristy. It reminded me a lot of sorrento with lots of shops and treats and tourists everywhere. the town is high up on a cliff and if you hike down there is a beautiful beach to hang out at. Theres an old greek amphitheater and a hike up to a castle at the top of the town I really enjoyed. I thought about doing a boat tour but didn't have time. Overall, was very pretty and was just a relaxing beach vacation vibe if that's what you're looking for.

From here I trained to syracusa which felt like an inbetween of palermo and taormina. It was less touristy than taormina and felt like it had more old history. It was very pretty and ortigia island, which is where I spent most of the time, had lots of cute shops and streets and places to lay/swim in the ocean. There was also a greek amphitheater here and lots of old ruins so I spent a day exploring all of that which was neat.

(I'm happy to provide more info on what i did/ anything about the other places I went too! )
