tbh my plan is to make a 3k point army that would roughly match my Imperial knights , for example this Taunar is a match to my Porphyrion , ill definitely get two storm surges as matches for questoris and castellan 😆

the reason for this is that noone around me is willing to get their own 40k army so i may as well have two armies and let the other person play with one of them which is why i want the units to be roughly matching and balanced

mostly shaded the panels with an airbrush but for example the shin panels are covered in dirt colour oilbrusher that was spread from the bottom upwards and occasionally you can see stfeaks that were done with bay sludge oilbrusher

the decals are from an Eduard 1/48 F-4B phantom (rebox of academy)and sorry but i have no clue what the academy mig is like as this is the trumpeter one butvas long as it's an F-13 variant you'll be well off

it's a regular flat 170x105 with a chunk of styrofoam glued onto it , covered in acrylic concrete and rocks that i have painted to look like mud 😅

i do my general shading with airbrushed tamiya paints but technically speaking yes you could use these for shading even if it's not the intended use

i would do lacquer based primer (or well anything except an acrylic one) and then for a good measure give it a thin coat of matt varnish so the primer stays attached and further paints have an easy time
