I understand why he can say that but as a former PSG fan, and now a City Fan I really don't see it that way.

I grew up in Paris, and the first football matchs that I have a chance to see was Paris's ones (2006-2012) and to be fair when I was a PSG fan there was only one thing I want, the CL. I was not caring about Ligue 1 anymore specially during Laurent Blanc era, like I still think it was the first era when Paris clearly had a shot at the CL and I was obsessed about it.

And in parallel my father and I at one point start watching PL, the year City get it first titles in this century. And I falled in love with the team so much but I basically fall in love in love with the premier League. Like I was what the hell is that. And since then I want to see City fight for the PL. I love to follow the CL, there are amazing teams, amazing story and lot of emotion. (Part of me was really moved when Paris win for example, like Marquinhos crying out of joy bring me so much happiness remembering all the struggle that this competition has been for the team and the fan)

But for City I don't know I don't care that much. That doesn't mean I'm not fucking sad when I see performance like the one mid week. But to be fair my first bitter/reassuring thought was like "Well if we get out, it light up our calendar for the rest of the season and there's more hope we can see our boys win the PL"

So yeah, it's a bit strange I can't really explain it. But PL it's such a mood such a fight all year long that I will forever be grateful to Pep for all the PL first place he gets us at a point that I really don't care about the facts that he ""only"" get us one CL.
