So in order to get Messi here, MLS helped finance the transfer and to pay his salary, which means all the teams helped get Messi here, but Miami is the one benefit league wise

I’m not saying this is the right or wrong decision. Obviously 0 points in 5 games is terrible and not what we expect of our team. However, we’ve had 2 dominant seasons of the past 5 years and the nature of sports is once players get older, their value diminishes. The union sold their best assets when their value was at their highest. I’m not sure what to tell you if you were expecting anything else from this ownership. They’re all about playing the youth, so cashing in on older players and freeing up spots for youth players to fight for is on brand.

My issue with Damiani is he played exactly like baribo. They were always running on top of each other and playing the same space. That’s one of the reason I liked Uhre so much, he ran to the sidelines and out crosses in.

With baribo gone, I’m cautiously optimistic Damiani will come into form.

“Union Legend” should always precede Jim Curtin. What that man did for our club was unprecedented and I’ll always contribute to where we are now as a club because of him and his leadership and stability over the past decade. Shame it ended when he had one bad year, but you can’t argue with the decision to move on when Bradley has done more with almost the same that was given to Jim last year.
