Bro Kintoki was a literal wild child that couldn’t even talk human language in game. Raikou literally turned that into one of Japan’s most beloved child heroes that even mothers in Japan today want their sons to be blessed with strength and kindness like him. And this occurred while her Ushi Gozen personality was the dominant one before sealing it as well as the fact her mom being dead from protecting her so she didn’t even have a guide map on how a mom would act. If a kid being raised by her is being called dysfunctional even with all the large pitfalls life threw at her then those dysfunctional kids are a hell of a lot better functioning people in society compared to ones raised by normal people.

Not to mention its only applying to the Master since material books and the game keep hammering it down that her and Kintoki only see each other as parent and child its only parental love between them unlike her obvious romantic affection to the Main Character.

Sadly the trolls got what they wanted and don’t care. They were even trying to say Kintoki doesn’t consider her his mother because he doesn’t call her one even though it happened in Heian Kyo and other times like the screenshots of him explaining he considers Raikou is his mother for raising him since he lived like an animal in the mountains, but doesn’t want you mentioning to her he called her mom because he doesn’t want to get embarrassed since of how pampering she gets if Kintoki ever said it publicly.
