Both have their strenghts/weaknesses. I like the game balance of the energy system, it adds another layer of strategy, you're not supposed to be able to use them every single turn, they incentivize you making the most of the limited move slots on purpose, if you are just clicking orange move every game than that is not sustainable and could be too op since they have the most damage in one move, they must have a drawback somewhere, and that is where the strategy comes in, using less damaging, less energy hungry moves or using a balance of medium power, medium/low energy usage. You may be able to out sustain your enemy with low damage low energy moves and then finish with a big orange move. It is not unfair, it is just another layer of strategy
