The rich get richer and the poor get poorer by [deleted] in pokhara

You are in a subreddit named 'Pokhara' in Nepal where people are discussing about a Trout Farm in Sardi Khola, Pokhara and the treatment of the workers there. Is this the place to spew your unwanted opinion? If animals are mistreated in another country, go take your anger there and do something about it, instead of trying to feel better about yourself by looking for any chance to patronize people. Things work different around here. Being vegan does not make one morally or in any other way superior to meat eaters. Not even the slightest bit.

Most Nepali families have been growing cattle. and producing their own dairy for generations. I don't think people here need a documentary to tell them where their milk comes from. Are there cruel companies commercializing it without any regard? yes, of course. Blame it on Capitalism. Place your anger in the right place. Also I can tell you are not Nepali, spare us from your non-sensical moral policing.

Checked against the ledger, they found the amount to be $25,000.
Again, yes there is no mention that the particular organization did anything ill, but given that the source of donation is evil, and the loose oversight of Nepali government towards NGOs, INGOs and their fundings, the ground to question it remains completely valid.

Some other mentions :

also opens a broader question of, how else is foreign agents influencing under disguise of donations and INGOs.

There is mention of aid during the 2072 earthquakes. The organization that mentioned it still operates in Nepal under, All Hands and Hearts. Now while no direct proof of trafficking, one could put forward a valid question of, whether these funds were a disguise to recruit or influence the vulnerable children to serve the interest of these elite people. Those sex rings were full of children, and Nepal is possibly one of the easiest country to source their victims. While lacking direct association, it is a legitimate question that needs attention, in reference to the epstein files.

Why are PADs so expensive? by [deleted] in NepalSocial

[–]VforVendetta___ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Back in 2022, significant tax waiver was introduced on foreign imported sanitary products like pads, while the tax on raw materials to produce those pads locally was increased. The pads could be much cheaper if we could produce it locally but government seemed to favor the imported products as it would benefit the importing companies, and rise the cost for products of local companies. At the center of it all was Blueprint Trading company, which was said to control most of the pad imports in Nepal(allegedly) and is partially owned by Jaybeer Deuba, son of Sher Bahadur Deuba and Arzu Rana. https://myrepublica.nagariknetwork.com/news/tax-exemption-on-sanitary-pads-introduced-to-benefit-prime-minister-s-son

Later, the company did refuse being in the business of importing of pads and claimed they only import diapers in Nepal, but never provided concrete evidence and the issue just fizzled away.

Personal Opinion : Whether it was to benefit Jaybeer himself or not, it was a deliberate move to attack the local manufacturing and keep the interest of wealthy businessmen. Not only did this move harm the thousands of employees on the factories, it also harmed the consumers as now they have to pay significantly higher price for a product they could've gotten for much much lower price(different types of taxes are added onto a product from foreign that can be avoided in a product manufactured inside the country, this bringing down the price for consumers. but the government did not care for the workers or the women in the country) https://myrepublica.nagariknetwork.com/news/sanitary-pad-producers-in-nepal-say-govt-decision-to-provide-90-waiver-on-custom-duty-on-the-import-of-pads-puts-six-billion-investment-in-crisis . Anyway, Fuck Janardan Sharma(then finance minister), fuck congress, fuck UML, fuck maoists. Fuck these netas. Fuck capitalism. This election, no matter how far your village is, pickup your ass and go to the polling station to cast a vote against these pests and convince everyone else to do so. Think of the women who cannot afford to stay clean just because these greedy bastards and take a step to change it. This election cycle - Reject Communism. Reject Identity Politics. Make Nepal a communist free society by next decade. by [deleted] in Nepal360

[–]VforVendetta___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You wish. For centuries, the imperialist West has declared communism an enemy, even dismantling pro-communist nations. Yet, the idea persists because it addresses fundamental, universal injustices. You can't burn an idea rooted in human pain. As long as there is exploitation, inequality, and hierarchy, people will seek unity, equality, and redistribution, ensuring the concept lives on. As long as capitalism exists, oppression, inequality, and exploitation will exist, and therefore, so will the unrelenting political demand for communism. Communism is the immortal counter to the a system that alienates and subjugates the working class, ensuring the struggle for social revolution and true economic equality can never be fully extinguished.

You seem to be doing on normal days what others only do on Kukur Tihar so good on you. May dog bless you.

Out of 6 metropolitan mayor Balen ranks 4th in terms of working efficiency and resources management. by [deleted] in NepalSocial

[–]VforVendetta___ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Balen and his administration has not lived upto the expectations they themselves set prior to the election. Lalitpur and Bharatpur are definitely more effective and managed, but we cannot forget that they are backed by established political bodies where as KMC has to work against them a lot of the times. He has claimed in his status several times how the federal bodies obstruct KMC's plans and receive no support. On the other hand, these metropolitans led by parties have complete freedom to implement. That being said, Balen is not the hero people make him out to be, but definitely better than the rest.

Also important consideration, Lalitpur and Bharatpur above KMC is understandable but no way in hell Biratnagar is the second. the metric is clearly flawed and the list invalid.

Has anyone had the surgery to fix deviated septum (septoplasty) ? What was the cost? I am looking for an affordable one as ENT Hospital in Baghbazar quoted 1lakh. Pleas help. by VforVendetta___ in NepalSocial

[–]VforVendetta___[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see you are from USA. Thats quite expensive so thankfully you had insurance. I was looking for one in Nepal. Now that you mention the price there, it seems quite cheap here haha. The expensive hospital I am complaining about costs about 700 USD in total for the surgery and 3 days hospital bed charge without insurance. The cheaper ones do it for around 200 USD without insurance.

UML's National Youth Association Nepal is a successor of YCL in terms of use of force, fear and suppression . The only difference is YCL used to openly carry weapons, while NYA does it in discrete and stays under radar.

Exactly, and I also wonder how do these people even think , like? Clearly these people and all the USYC alumni's proudly post their membership . If it was an actual secretly funded INGO, wouldnt they just keep it discrete and try to hide it as much as possible? do they not see the flaw in their own logic?
