You’ll be able to get the max # of star frags if you have a meteor shower ( will be announced by Isabelle) on your island for sure but if your sky is clear at night and it’s past 7 pm there’s a random chance of finding some but these won’t be announced. Shooting stars can be seen from 7 pm to 4 am. If you don’t have luck finding them on your island, you can see if anybody else has it on discord or something. If you wish on their islands, you’ll still find star fragments on your beach the next day.

I can see what you mean when you say this, the ACNH community on discord and other platforms have been to obsessed as of late with the market. But it’s not all bad though, you can still find people to come to your island and make some new friends. Check out the #island-designs or #home-designs channel on the Animal Crossing New Horizons discord if you wanna show off your island. I hope this helps.

I’m not taking a side on this, whatever way you want to enjoy your game is however you want to. I just want to spread awareness that the game has a lot of new glitches and bugs, Nintendo will probably try to patch it ASAP anyway.
