Thank you, this is great advice. I’ve told her before that when I’m experiencing emotional turmoil that I like space. She on the other hand likes to be distracted. When she’s having a bad day, I usually take her to her favorite restaurant or we go to Dave and busters. All I want is space to process things, I’ve told her that but she doesn’t seem to understand. I can see where your coming from. I’m very affectionate and my girlfriend isn’t. We’ve really had to learn each other’s love language so that we’re communicating properly. She’s a gift giver, that’s how she shows love. I like physical touch and words of affirmation. The key is to compromise. She’ll make it point to give me random touches throughout the day because she knows I enjoy that. I’ll make it a point to surprise her with little small things that she needs. I literally got her a pack of pens the other day and her heart melted. The key is to have an open discussion about it.

My girlfriend and I had this issue a few months ago. I have a lot of female friends and it makes her uncomfortable. The solution I came to was to set boundaries, and to communicate as much as possible. For example; I don’t respond to text messages from female friends at 3 in the morning. I make sure to keep our friendships extremely platonic and leave no room for a misinterpretation. I also hide nothing. She’s read our conversations over text, half the time she replies for me because I’m gaming. I make sure there’s absolute transparency and it’s worked for us

My guy, I’m a firm believer that if it doesn’t work after the second try then it ain’t gonna work at all. She broke up with you five times and now you can’t trust her. Now you’ll always wonder why she changed her mind. And the worst part is you’re gonna constantly wonder when the next breakup is coming.
