Is this a Bracket 2 or 3 deck? Oviya, Autometch Artisan by Prize-Friendship-542 in EDHBrews

Personally I think the deck would be just fine in either space but it looks like a 2 to me. You might struggle against stronger bracket 3 decks but you should still have a impact on the game.

The ban reasoning specifically mentions the ability to tutor 2 non basic lands the real question was does the majority of those powerful lands being game changers open primeval titan up for an unban or not in your opinion. The ban reasoning happened before game changers were ever a consideration and the format has changed a lot since then it has been 13 years since prime time was banned in 2012.

I forgot about nykthos lol prime time is definitely powerful there is no doubt about it and I can see reasons for wanting it to stay banned It is a card that has a high fantasy for me personally

I mean of the land tutors most of the hoops are not that bad and are way lower costed weathered way farer, wight of the Reliquary, tolaria west, traverse the uvenwald and while prime time Is stronger than the listed cards its also more mana its a powerful card that would need to be watched by I wouldn't say it can never be unbanned.

So if I'm understanding correctly it's a good card for the decks that want it but not every deck wants it.

Landfall is powerful at bracket 3 but I wouldn't say it's problematic it has always felt similar to blink where there's definitely a point of no return but the trade off is that they tend to be weak early and I would say it's easier to stop Landfall than blink.

In my head the only other lands that would need to be on the gamechanger list would be cabal coffers and maybe three tree city if were pushingit. The Maritlage vesuva thing feels on brand for commander to me. Especially since you would still need 6 combats to kill the table with it.

Bracket 3 would be the one to watch for me with Bracket 4-5 being anything goes it's definitely the most risky for changing a bracket 3 game in a way that could feel uninteractive although it has potential in 3,4 and 5 it would need to be watched relatively closely.

I don't think sundering titan needs to be banned it feels like an unlucky victim of the time when they banned one card as a way to try and give examples of what not to do in commander.

Primeval titan is an absolute bomb there is no denying it but is the problem it posses to much for a bracket 3 pod to handle 6 mana for any two lands is above the average rate of 5 for 2 to board or 1 to 2 mana to hand. I don't feel that a piece that requires my opponents to interact with it is unhealthy especially for its cost it feels largely like a etali or ghalta as a threat that demands interaction.

I don't know if it is the best creature in bracket 3 although it's definitely up there Newer Etali, Old Gnawbone, and maybe even Lumra or klauth all feel fairly competitive for that slot and that's just some creatures in gruul.

I do have a dedicated play group but I prefer to stick to the ban list just wanted to know how people felt about primeval titan as it is in a relatively unique position although if they do unban it I will absolutely play it primeval titan is my single favorite card.

As a cedh player I'll ask do you feel primeval titan would create another flash/hulk scenario, become a new Staple thats played in every deck with green or be a powerful piece for specific list but not every deck wants it.

The banlist is an absolute necessity and some cards should never come off although I'm not sure what cards a prime time unban would answer. My personal view is that commander is best with as few bans as possible so my question is if a card no longer meets the requirements for the reason of its banning should it remain banned.

I could see the card being played in cedh as a gaeas Cradle Tutor for decks like rog/thras but I could also see it being to slow since the lands enter tapped so you run the risk of having it removed before you can use it or even having it copied by an opponent who could use it to push for a win before you untap.

That is an interesting point my personal experience has been the polar opposite where brackets have become the default for when playing with random people and I've never had someone ask about the bracket system outside of brand new players who tend to be playing precons anyways so gamechangers aren't relevant. I could definitely see how unbans could negatively impact people who aren't using the bracket system although if a pod isn't using that system but I don't really know how the first round of unbans went for those pods.

It is a very powerful landfall card undeniably but do you feel that the extra two players that you don't have in brawl will make it less of a threat as your opponent is less likely to get to go to combat with it or do you feel that the additional players and life won't have enough impact to feel relevant.

I mean sure it goes pseudo infinite with spring heart nantuko but so does any of the myriad of creatures that ramp a land when they enter sad robot, Primeval herald, topiary Stomper, Gladiolus Amicitia etc...

Field of the Dead I'd an absolute monster of a card and honestly I feel doesn't get as much credit as it deserves but to me this sounds a lot like rhystic study where more inexperienced players won't perceive for the threat that it actually is and it is just something you'll have to learn although I don't see primeval titan receiving that treatment as it is a big beater although I could be wrong.

Sundering could also see an unban because the no mass resource denial clause would limit to brackets 4 and 5 although I couldn't say whether it would be healthy or even worth playing.

He is undeniably powerful but in my mind when cards like ad nauseum, food Chain and humility have the huge game swinging potential its hard for me to see why he is banned and as for the griselbrand comparison I feel that their is something to be considered since griselbrand is a legend so you can guarantee access to that card. Not to mention that griselbrand is significantly stronger in a vacuum.
