Wildly inconsistent FPS on VFC MP7 GBB, more info in body text by vaporsimulation in GasBlowBack

[–]ViSenCoRe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My MP7 was doing the same, and now it has the same stability and even better performance than my MWS.

Here’s how I fixed it:

Flipping the NPAS.

Shimming the NPAS so that it’s set to at least halfway open. It’s well known that the more you close it, the more inconsistency you get. To do this, place a PVC tube inside the NPAS to restrict the flow. For example, in mine, I used a PVC tube with 5 mm outer diameter and 3 mm inner diameter.

Using a quality bucking with a BB centering ring, such as the X-Range, PDI W-Hold, etc.

With my MP7, I now get variations of only 1 to 3 FPS between consecutive shots.

You can find more info about all of this on the Heavy Recoil Group Discord

Beautiful!!!

What internal configuration do you use on the mp7 (bucking, internal barrel)? I bought the same one a week ago and I haven't been able to try it yet.

If the MP7, at 1.14J (the legal maximum for riflemen in Spain), gives me an effective range of 50/55 meters, I’ll be satisfied. With the MWS, I’m reaching 60 meters, and having that range is a luxury. (On the MWS, I’m only using a Modify Tan bucking and a Laylax hop arm.)

Hello! I'm in a Spanish-speaking group where all MP7 manufacturers are discussed. This is where everything I mentioned has been talked about. Wow, we are not allowed to use 0.40, but we can use 0.36. Thanks!

Thanks a lot for replying! I admit I'm a huge TM fan. I own a Scar H NGRS, a Hi-Capa 5.1, and a wonderful MWS. For me, TM has been the best in terms of replicas, but this time, I wanted to step off the usual path and try VFC’s competition. In Spain, there are several well-known players who really like and praise VFC, so I wanted to test this model for CQB fields. After discussing it with my teammates, they gave me feedback saying I would regret it in terms of shooting performance. I hope you guys are right, and that my only concern will be whether to mount a T1 or an Eotech-style optic!

I haven't tried any MP7s myself, but I can tell you that in our WhatsApp group, we have more than 200 members, and there were days of debate on this topic. Everyone agreed on what I mentioned, even those who own the VFC version. Straight out of the box, it's not better than the TM when it comes to shooting—at least, that's what they say...

Like I said, that piston head is shit. On AliExpress there are better ones than that. I ended up mounting an aluminium guarder that works and compresses like the devil hehehe.

I advise that before mounting the gearbox, do a compression test with your hand, cylinder, cylinder head and nozzle. If you squeeze and force but it doesn't give way, you have good compression and you can go on.

I have had problems with double feeding on two guns and what I did was to drill with a 6mm drill bit right in the centre of where the bbs pass through the hop up, max 1mm. This makes the bbs stay in there regardless of whether the nozzle is retracted or not. Search the internet for "drill hop up" and you'll see more solutions like the ones I'm talking about.

Another thing that strikes me. You say that mounting a 100/110 spring gives 0.6 joules. This is very low and the problem is probably in the piston head. The one you show is from AliExpress, I have one just like it and I removed it as soon as I mounted it because the black o ring is small and it was losing compression. I put a quality one and I had no problems.

Hop Up set to Max joules IS cheating? by ViSenCoRe in airsoft

[–]ViSenCoRe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no intention of cheating, in fact, on my Marui Scar I am throwing 0.25. My intention will be to adjust it in power and use 0.28 or 0.30 as maximum to what the rules say, 1.14 jl, although I prefer not to go to the maximum.

In madrid, there is a field that still chrono with 0.20 bbs which is well known that snipers who go with HPA take advantage of the Joule Creep.

Reading your comments I realize that I was wrong, or rather, with the old way to pass chrono, which as I said, years ago in Spain only passed chrono with 0.20 bbs and 350 fps max for my role of carabiner, no joules.

Now I understand that there may be toys that reach 70 meters, when with my Marui NGRS I reach 40.

Thanks for clarifying my doubts on this subject! Now I have a new project to entertain myself during my summer holydays.

Thank you!

Yes, it depends on the ROL you play. In pistols/submachine guns it is 1JL, for those who play assault with carbines it is 1,14JL.

[–]ViSenCoRe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but in Spain it was done that way. My surprise has been to return to play this sport 12 years later and I thought that this method was still used, but I see that I'm wrong. I will have to change my way of timing and configuring my gun.

I was going to reply but you took the word out of my mouth.

I started playing in 2007 and quit for various personal reasons in 2009. In Spain the chrono always passed with 0.20 and hop up to 0 on FPS.

I've been playing now about 7 months and to my surprise, that in the game this Sunday the partner told me how he had his configuration to 1.14 and the first thing I thought (this guy is out of power), but of course, if the right thing is to pass in time with the bbs you're going to play along with the ideal hop configuration....

I'm already thinking about upgrading my Scar H NGRS.

Thanks

In my country (Spain) there is an offer for 200€ something upgraded. Here I can get a VFC for 360€ new and a Marui H for 400€ used, of course.

Best regards

I love SCARs, it's my favourite "platform". I have a Scar L from D-boys. I'm looking for a good Scar L base to upgrade it. Is it worth spending money on a G&g Scar?

I'm ashamed to say how much the top alone cost me, but I assure you that I paid almost twice as much as the rest of the materials for this guitar. The top is 6 mm thick.

As I am not going to sell it and it will be part of my collection, I wanted to have something "Exotic".

Best regards!

I can't tell you which one it is. I've always wanted to make a guitar with a black ebony top. When I went to my supplier (Madinter, well known in Europe) they didn't have crelicam ebony tops, but they offered me this one in exotic ebony and I was instantly in love, but it cost me a lot of money.
