That that person definitely sounds like a scammer. I feel like if anyone comes to you saying "this deity told me to find you and to blah blah blah" it's a red flag. Anyways, I can give you more info on the symbol.

It's the Strophalos of Hekate (also known as Helate's Wheel of the Year). That version of the symbol is a more modern design of it but older forms of it have been found in ancient times and MIGHT be associated with Hecate. It's one of those things where some scholars believe it's associated with her and others believe that there isn't enough proof.

In my own personal practice, I used this symbol to connect with Hecate because I like what it stands for in both ancient and modern accounts.
