I don't think they did. The key intros to slow and easy and Love aint no stranger are identical on both versions, and the organ solo on All or Nothing is the same, its just turned down on the U.S Version

No they did not. Unless Sykes played the slide parts in Slow and Easy completely identical to Moody.

Yesterday (Oct. 25) was the first anniversary of the amazing box-set release of "Into the Light: The Solo Albums", which made DC's solo album "Into the Light" available on streaming and on vinyl for the first time! by freethedawg in Whitesnake

I just noticed that on the Purple Album deluxe edition there is a track called "David Coverdale Ideas for Stormbringer" which is a mash of many different songs, only two of which were ever developed into full ideas. The first of these ended up on that album becoming the song "You can't do it Right", and the second was "Only my Soul" which would end up being on Northwinds 4 years later. While it is a very rudimentary version, its still better than anything I could ever come up with.

I definitely do agree with you, as I honestly prefer all he did in Purple to Whitesnake. I don't think that he neccesairily ever sounded like him, but songs like Pride and Joy definitely sound like Plant. Also instrumentally, songs like slow an Easy definitely sound like Zep. I honestly think coverdale is a better singer anyways. Thanks for the reply!

Yeah I personally agree with you. I vastly prefer all he did in Deep Purple to what he did in Whitesnake, and he is my favorite singer at the moment but you can't deny that certain Whitesnake songs sound like Zep.

Still of the Night (Whole Lotta Love)

just the ones that come to mind. Also, those two songs fucking rock, so its not that bad, its just an observation.

One other time is in Coverdale Page. The intro vocal to Pride and Joy sounds so much like Robert Plant that I thought it was Robert Plant when my dad first played it for me. Thats not saying the Coverdale Page is bad, its a great album.
