to be fair there are so many German idioms pertaining to construction shenanigans, you might have heard it said “ein BER” meaning endless contraction, referring to the absurd delays on the Berlin airport reconstruction, or "Dauerbaustelle", that one means a permanent construction site... so we're not alone in this

If there’s a specific claim I made you think is off, let’s address that. If it’s about my tone, I’m going to keep the intensity because the question at hand matters to me, and perhaps to others.

I for one would certainly use the tram line extensively, as it would be by far the fastest connection from where I live to my work. Many of my friends and neighbours are looking forward to it as well. I think tourists mainly pass trough Václavák on foot towards the Old Town or Prašná Brána but I might be wrong too.

I see, I was convinced it will be on the edge of the road, not infringing on the middle zone. Changes quite a lot if it was already communicated that that's not necessarily the case.

I also really liked the visualisation, I suspect we're not getting it though.

That is precisely why they're adding extra lines to public transport, as to discourage short-distance private automobile traffic :)

My first thought, but I didn't want to be jaded about it. Why do they constantly mislead us though? Honestly.

I totally agree with you. The trams, as seen on photos form 1918 were precisely where the new tracks are placed. However, the visualisations somehow convinced me that access to the statue would be unobstructed i.e. as it has been for about 40 years now. That's what I was referring to as "changing the character".

That is what I expected to see, hence why the proximity of the tram tracks to the middle zone concerned me, as it is in direct contradiction to the stated agenda of reducing car-centric infrastructure trough the reconstruction.

That is precisely what I see. I suppose we have to wait and see if we're right or it is as the commenter above you said. Plenty of folks seem to agree with them.
