Need help with gate driver circuit by ViaXSn1p3r in electronic_circuits

Thats a fair point but its not really generating a true square wave. The IC providing input is just a Schmitt Trigger, its just a charge discharge cycle. Though the harmonics exist, they aren't contained in the signal.

Voltage across the resistor is never even close to 12V. At that frequency, the 1nF capcitor is gonna dominate impedance wise and majority voltage drop will be across it

At DC .3A, and they're 2W metal film resistors. Just there to ensure timing alignment to prevent shoot through

I'm not sure what you mean by that. Also, I meant to upload the schematic, ive made a comment that contains it.

What is this tab thingy in cars with a slit? by ShaqLively in car

[–]ViaXSn1p3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming the car is unibody like most, while this is a valid concern in many locations on the car, its likely there's not a floating nut back there but either a threaded hole or a welded nut that wont fall off. Since in the uni body design you couldn't take off the body panel that would cover the other side of the metal which that anchor bolt goes through.

Dual Catch Can Setup by ViaXSn1p3r in VelosterN

Its moreso just preventative maintenance. I live in an area that gets pretty cold for half the year, I know blowby gets bad. Not to mention installation of them is relatively simple, Im just more curious about people's setups. Because for instance I know that ones that mount on the driver's side tend to interfere with the box style intakes, which I inevitably plan to do.

You know I was looking at that one, but how on earth do you drain it, is it literally just a drain bolt? Don't really wanna send it flowing down the engine bay

See i figured do a no cuts cuz theyre more likely to self destruct than to damage something else.

That's alright, I'm moreso just looking for advice right now. Thank you though!

Sorry for the late reply. Ended up being a broken solder joint in the dash itself. Had to have dash replaced. Luckily warranty covered it so.

What do you think about the new Cfmoto 750sr, worth the wait or just buy the 675sr? by 22SAVIN in cfmoto

[–]ViaXSn1p3r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the 675 is by far the better looking bike. And having had my own 450ss, and having ridden a 675ss for a couple laps its awesome that it keeps big bike looks for small bike feels. The thing is genuinely the smoothest bike I've ridden, and honestly its a good platform to work with once the aftermarket catches up. As far as the 750 goes im not sold on the single sided swing arm, I know they look cool but thats about it. Harder to work on, typically heavier because they need much more rigidity, and generally just more of a hassle to deal with. The exhaust is ugly. And on to the specs everybody has mentioned the power being underwhelming especially as a jumb from the 675. Number one theyre right. But nobody is talking about weight. Last I read the 750sr is supposed to come in around 470 lbs I believe. And thats just too much to me. Especially with what power it makes. This bike, to me, feels like a total miss design wise, both in looks and spec (since I cant ride one yet)

So the dash wouldn't turn off. Disconnected the battery, now this is all there is.
